Like you, I order the hor fun when never I go AV food centre. In terms of Neighbour hood shops, I find the electrical appliance shops to offer good prices.... (very different prices for the same model, so best to ask and compare before buying!)

You haven’t seen Singapore if you have not ventured to some of the neighbourhoods and experienced local life. I’d recommend visitors to allow a day to explore places off the beaten track after they have seen all the major tourist attractions. Your videos are an excellent invitation to all of Singapore - and of course the excellent public transport system (buses and MRT) make the whole island easily accessible. You don’t even need tickets - these days you can just tap your credit card on entering the bus or the train station - not forgetting to “tap out” as you get off. I once forgot to tap out….but as the ticketing system did not record where I got off, I was simply charged to the end of the line - instead of $1.10, just $2.20. Can’t complain!

Yes! An advantage of Singapore being so small is that you can easily explore the country’s many different facets. And it is also safe to wander around and experience the local neighbourhoods, away from the big attractions. 😀
