  • 1 CUP= 250ml, 1 TSP= 5ml, 1/2 TSP = 2.5ml, 1 TBSP= 15ml, 1/4 TSP= 1.25ml, 1/4 CUP= 60ml
    Goan Kingfish Vindaloo
    Ingredients required for fish marinade
    7-8 kingfish slices
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    1 tsp Kashmiri chilly powder
    1 tbsp lime juice
    Ingredients required for vindaloo paste
    8 Kashmiri chillies (deseeded)
    12-15 peppercorns
    1/2” cinnamon stick
    8 cloves
    4 medium garlic cloves
    1” ginger piece
    1/2 tsp cumin seeds
    1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    1/2 tsp mustard seeds (missed to show In the video)
    1/4 cup vinegar
    Other ingredients required
    1 large onion (finely sliced)
    1 cup water or as required
    2 green chillies
    1 tsp sugar
    Salt to taste
    Oil
    Note: vindaloo taste better the next day 😊

    Thank for this authentic recipe.
    I have tried it myself.
    I made with 12 pieces of fish, proportionately increased the qty of spices and ingredients.
    Trust me I got raving reviews from the guests.
    Truly authentic and tastes typical Goan.
    Flavour and aroma both were very distinctive.
    Tip: don't make if you don't get dried byadagi chilli. It's called kashmiri chilli in some places.
    This adds the typical reddish colour to the gravy which is quite appetising.
    Kashmiri chilli powder coating while marinating and keeping in fridge for 15 for marination adds taste and colour.
    I added ginger garlic paste in the marination, which is not otherwise mentioned in the recipe.
    Vinegar and black pepper in appropriate quantity are the taste enhancer in the whole prepration.
    Just don't watch and give a thumbs up.
    Highly recommended to try and share your experience.

      This one you can store for couple of months, as it’s prepared with vinegar.
