Life at Cosmos Academy goes on, the future Rangers are faced with numerous challenges as they prepare for their final exam... but interpersonal drama between Hope Griffin, Itsuki Reo and Carmen Avilas continues to fracture what should be a straightforward semester.
Synopsis ----
Hope Griffin leaves her high school in Yokohama for Cosmos Academy, an elite school in space, to train to become an Interstellar Ranger. There, she will face danger, suffer heartbreak, and find purpose. Her adventure has only just begun.

This is definitely an improvement over the last two episodes. While the last two episodes weren't bad, it felt like this episode does a far better job at clarifying the dynamics and personalities of the characters. Pretty much each of the side characters got to show off a little bit of their personalities and goals. I think so far Alex is probably my favorite side character and I'm excited to see more from him. In terms of Hope and Itsuki, I think they definitely have a really fun dynamic and I'm excited to see where they go from here.
My only real issue is that we maybe should've seen Hope and Carmen interact a bit more before they're fight during the training session. Based on how they talk it seems like they've supposedly been having this big tension between them and while I can understand that from Carmen's end (it's been very well set up that she completely hates her), I feel like it would've been nice to see how Carmen and Hope interact in order to fully sell it. OTHER THAN THAT, I think the episode was absolutely great and it's good to see you getting better all the time!
SO FOR SOME PREDICTIONS-
1. Hope will get the Azule force. We've seen in openings her power is something related to blue energy and since she's an overall good person it'll be enough of a reason for her to get the force. This will lead to Itsuki's father arriving to interrogate her.
2. The modification of the handle will likely come up later, with it being used during a fight in order to properly hurt the creature they were fighting in the trailer.
The dialogue could use some work too.
I'd definitely say the last two episodes were bad. We only just now even found out wtf an Interstellar Ranger even was. It would have been nice to see some more of these characters like this but in the past two. The writing was also way clunkier in the last two episodes, almost abysmal, and I think the last time we heard Itsuki's girlfriend's name was episode 1 and I barely got clear of what was happening in that scene. I don't see anyone else really remembering most of the characters names except Hope and Itsuki, and maybe Jazz.

This is exactly why I hate the Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works Route and Rin Tohsaka, especially when she and others mock Shirou Emiya over his dreams and ideals. Seriously, she is an absolute hypocrite!
And the fact that Shirou's not allowed to call Rin out or argue back against her and her hypocrisy is both sickening, disgusting, hypocritical in and of itself, and even evil.
There are most likely going to eventually put aside there differences. Itsuki’s loyalty to a parent that exploits him as an extension of himself juxtaposing Hope’s voluntarily making herself an extension of her father’s dream to join the Interstellar Force out of love for him (and perhaps, misplaced guilt at her birth maybe interrupting his personal ambitions) is what makes them so similar, their strained sense of identity, but it’s true that what divides them is Hope had a loving relationship with her father while Itsuki serves his father to apparently earn genuine love from his father that he’s been denied throughout his life.
Both have a capacity for love and compassion (Hope being able to connect with most of her peers and even lead proves she does have potential, though Ambassador Avilas’ intentions for her may have more to do with her being compatible with the orb and a candidate to be “altered”, hence the blue energy Hope uses in promotional material), but Itsuki’s status has repeatedly denied him the chance to make a genuine relationship (even Carmen unwittingly uses him just like his father, all the while he tries his best to be the doting, considerate boyfriend while ignoring the fact that they are incompatible).
His most genuine relationships and interactions have been with Hope and Alex (as he even appears to hide how bad he’s doing from his sister, Kotomi, to look strong for her like he thinks everyone else expects him to be), who each force him to reconcile his flaws and his doubts the way he made Hope confront hers. As painful as it may have been to be confronted that way, it’s a step towards improving himself if he take the steps to reach out to someone honestly, beyond the
Just saw episode 3, I absolutely LOVE Hope and Itsuki’s dynamic when they were trying to trick the guard. Their chemistry was explosive, I love how their conversation at the end made Itsuki question himself on what he really wants. Great work on episode 3, nothing felt rushed, the characters and events in the story felt like it was on a good pace. I look forward to see how the story unfolds later and how the relationships/friendships between each character develops, especially Hope and Itsuki. 😁

This was such a pleasant surprise! The animation was as consistent as usual, and the story flowed so much better here than it had originally. Huge props to the entire team, such a dynamic range of voice actors (loved the random soldier 💀), all the sound was great, and the and the op and ed were also great as usual.
P.s. can we make Jazz a canon Among Us player?
I couldn’t agree more, the story definitely flowed better and at a better pace now that the episode is 30 mins long. I feel like the longer the episode is, it allows the story to unfold more naturally and at a good pace, not feeling like it’s rushed.

This 100% feels like it’s the enemies to lovers trope and I’m already onboard the Hope and Itsuki ship! As much as I feel bad for Carmen since Itsuki is her boyfriend after all and she’s been a caring and loving girlfriend, I feel like she doesn’t quite understand how Itsuki feels about his constant pressure to live up to his dad’s legacy (or at least that’s the vibe I’m getting from Carmen so far based on her conversations with Itsuki these past few episodes). Whereas Itsuki’s interactions with Hope makes him question his goals and morals, Hope challenges Itsuki and that’s what makes their dynamic so interesting. I’m looking forward to how the relationship between these three develop later on and hopefully the writers give out a healthy and mature resolution to this possible love triangle in the future. Maybe I’m reading too much into it but I’m just here to simply voice out my opinion, I like giving a good analysis every once in a while and from what I’ve seen so far, I can say I’m confident about how the writers will be writing about the characters’ relationships.
This show really does slap. Animation gets better and more ambitious each episode and the writing is basically on par with professional animation. This project deserves way more attention than it currently has, but even if that does take awhile, I feel like it's something that's going to be getting new fans for many years to come. Great work, Mr. Table!

I'm really loving the direction this is going in! Hope and Itsuki seem like great rivals, and Jazz being a FMA:B Winry type character really suit her!

Lots of comedic moments with expressions you'd only get in anime.
The animation has really improved. I love how the smears are added to create smoothness(?) And little details like hair moving, lip syncing, or even the line work on Hope or Itsuki is just *chef's kiss*.
The transitions are also pretty good. I liked the bit where Hope was beginning to run before cutting to the op.
As for the characters, a lot of this episode dealt with pointing out the flaws of the characters, especially when it comes to the hypocrisy of Itsuki and Carmen.
If I had to say one thing, the fights were a little hard to follow, but otherwise, I really liked it.
Each episode is always getting better than the last, this series is so underrated it's insane, the voice acting in this episode was insanely good, loved the longer format as well, Incredible job!

Holyy this episode WAS. SO. DAMN. GOOD!!! It’s wonderfully animated and the comedy was amazing, me and my friend got our eyes BAWLING from laughter in some scenes! I love Hope’s and Itsuki’s dynamic and can’t wait to see how it develops(and Carmen vs Hope action was cool af). I grew to love Alex even more in this episode too. It really shows how much hard work and care is taken into this show! Really great job and kudos to the whole team 👏👏
P.S. I hope that the security officer appears in future episodes, he was just hillarious.

What even how did that get so good?? Even starting ISRC, it’s been great but episode 3 was amazing! The dialogue, story, pacing, character models and composition have already improved so much! :))
I had some complaints at the beginning of the episode but that last half of the episode really blew it out of the water! I am excited for the next episode, the animation, Music and voice acting was great.
I really enjoyed this. I have a lot of students that love anime and i will recommend your show. I want to see more rivalry between Hope and Carmen. That fight scene was awesome.

Really good episode. The animation has definitely improved and keeps up improving and voice acting feels more and more natural each episode. All that hard work everyone keeps putting into the show keeps on showing up!
I may want to watch Ep4 already, but take your time and polish it as much as you need (key word is need) to. Remember, it may not end up being "perfect" by your standards, but as long as passion shines through then rest assured that it will be good.
Now, totally unprofessional notes from someone without a single idea of what goes behind the scenes for an animation proyect:
1. PLEASE MORE OF JAY FROM LEGO NINJAGO. LITERALLY MY FAVORITE CHAOTIC CHARACTER AND ZA FRAME WHEN HE GETS SHOT IS *chef kiss* (pls have Houston moan in the most h*ntai way possible next time his character gets caught like that, for shits and giggles😂)
2. Have the goofiest/most unexpected character do the obligatory DB/NGE reference just to be cut halfway through to appeal to the wider audiences (das me, I'm the wider audiences).
3. I know you only have so much time to work on the show but pls have more secondary character interactions. You're setting up really good stories which will 100% pay off later, but I'm already seeing death flags on like half of them so pls make them shine a bit if what I fear is true.
4. 10 seconds is not enough, THE PEOPLE DEMANDS SHI.
That was a fantastic episode. I really want to watch the next episode!
