How can the car be this quick and agile when Mr Loeb obviously has to carry his pair of MASSIVE BALLS around! Respect to the man!

Mcleod John Actually, tarmac was always the natural habitat of Sebastian. Gravel and snow and stuff was what he had to learn for rally. When he came into the top level, everybody noted that he was almighty fast on tar, but a trifle untidy on the loose stuff. That was where he had to improve.
Loeb is far an away the absolute best race car driver of our/this time. His skill set is head and shoulders above anyone else and I think it's an absolute privilege and joy to be alive to watch him now!
I'd like to see him in V8 supercars, that would be fun to watch.

+Peder Hansen While I respect Schumacher and his ability to win F1 titles, let's not fool ourselves over who is and was better.
Schumacher won his titles when there was almost zero real competition in the sport. Not until Hill/Villeneuve was there a serious threat and when given a challenge, Schumacher simply failed and resorted to dangerous and unprofessional actions on track: and that is the most polite language I can use to describe what I really think of him.
Loeb on the other hand has always been the most professional and the more accomplished driver and more disciplines. To say that F1 is harder or better than WRC is just wrong. WRC drivers are the best i the world and can do it in any condition and on any surface and when given the chance, have proved their metal in all sorts of different series from F1 right down to American Stock and even lower forms of racing than that.
I respect your appreciation if Mr. Schumacher but Mr. Loeb is by far and away the more accomplished and simply the better driver.

When rallying, a driver goes first against hismelf, then agaisnt the road. On a track, the game set is very different. You have oponnents, and they often come in teams. That's the reason a track record is not a competition record.
Further more, F1 is really the worst auto "track" competition, as obviously, it lacks the competition.
And please, don't get me wrong. I, my self, do think of Mr. Loeb as one of the most desciplined and committed athletes.

This is approximately 7:01 (~ 1:49 - 8:50) for the regular Nordschleife (20,832 m). ULTRA performance!!! Things have gotten quite a bit quicker since 2007 WTCC (if GTR Evo simulates them well).

What a machine, the car and the driver! Just watched Lamborghini Aventador taking the whole lap in just 6.59.73, 2 seconds off the Porche 918.s time.. but I swear this seems like just as fast, so smooth and even though hes pushing, it seems so easy for him:D

close to 20 cars, bumper to bumper with a few bangs here and there, no codrivers or pace notes on Greenhell for 3 laps is utter madness... How the hell are they going to clear the debris, or capture the action (on TV) for such a huge course. Do the team radios have such a long range? This race is definately going to seperate the men from the boys...

MikeVonDoom If you take into consideration that the WTCC cars are doing 255kph (flat in 6th gear) on the back straight, and then see with which gear he goes through corners and where he's braking (!!!)... It's as fast as it looks.

MikeVonDoom easily would have been aound the 7 minute mark if it was a full ring lap. their is no such thing as making it look faster than it is at those lap times

Awesome driving and speed! But funny, though, if I am not mistaken, this is around 6:45, which is not that much faster than Radical and Porsche 918... Nevertheless, this is a treat to watch! Thank you, Citroen and all the best!

Kodreanu23 6:45 was around the Nordschleife, this is the 24HR Layout.
Has a part of the GP, so cars will go around 1 min slower than on the Nord layout.
Kodreanu23 The Porsche 918 and Radical (or a GT3 car) are much more powerful than a WTCC car. Give Loeb (or Sabine Schmitz ^^ ) the Radical and the best lap ever would be even faster.
Kodreanu23 when you consider its a 36mm restricted 1600 turbo running no more than 2.5 bar for 380 bhp at max rpm of 8500, and minimum weight of 1100kg.

I still think the big old gear change lever is a bit unsafe and unwieldy compared to the much more convenient paddle shifters on the steering wheels of supercars. The fact he keeps having to take his hand off the steering wheel to change gear as he's slowing down to corner, wouldn't it be a lot safer to have paddle shifters on wheel so he could keep both hands on wheel at all times?
The german race track called Nordschleife will be available soon in the racing simulation RaceRoom Racing Experience / #R3E.

92Cope On the shortened version of Nordschleife i see a 6:56...entered at 1:52 and would have finished at around 8:48. For a FWD, 380 HP car,this is brilliant.

380HP car can make lap time under 7 minutes, while many cars with a bigger horsepower can make it over 7 minutes, brilliant.
Nordscheilfe is a another level, is a true circuit only for man, is not a shit a1ring!
probem with WTcc cars that their max speed are around 200kmh and they are not sutable for nurburgring where you can go on straight lines 300+kmh
