This came out the year my daughter was born, not long after that, 1992, my nanna died. I couldnt hear this song for many years because it broke me. My nan was more like my mother and her death absolutely tore me apart. I still struggle to listen to this song without crying for her n missing her like it was yesterday.
That's my video! I was watching this going, hold on, thats my video. I took that. You can hear my voice i it. (Sorry about that) Jon is so amazing. His voice is insane. I've been following JS for 36 years. Sorry to hear about your dad Nick.
So sorry for your loss Nick. i absolutely love your reactions mate, I'm 53 and was lucky enough to grow up with and loving all these Aussie legends that you also love. Thanks for putting a smile on my face every time you get into the music and almost loose it. You are legend mate and I'm sure your Dad will be looking down on you with nothing but pride for the person that you are. ❤
This must be a terribly hard song to hear when you’re still so raw. Xx. Jon Stevens is just incredible live, the notes he hits are insane - he definitely still has it.
Stay strong brother...this song in particular reminds me of my mum passing. Such a beautiful song and an amazing performance. Keep your family close ❤❤❤
Jon is lead singer of Noiseworks. His songs were the best part of my teen years. Bucket list is to see him live. Condolences to you on your father's passing💜
Condolences on the loss of your father. The lyrics of this song hit you straight in the heart when you've lost someone you love and care about. Combine those with the sombre undertone of the music and you can't help but feel raw emotion. I think any of your viewers would see the struggle you went through to hold it together and keep listening to this performance so soon after the death of your Dad. The place in your heart and life that is his will never be taken by another. I lost my mother 13 years ago and still miss her voice, love and words of advice. I honour her by living my life to the best of my ability and staying true to the values she taught me. You will never forget your father and you shouldn't. Live your life to the best of your ability and you will honour your Dad and the lessons he taught you
My condolences Nick for the loss of your father. You grieve however you need to grieve. Thank you for your reactions...i watch them every lunchbreak. Best wishes to you and your family.
Good on you for getting through this song in your circumstances ! My Nan was Milly and passed a few years ago so this song kills me ❤. Keep going Nick 👊👊👊
And on a Better note….Jon Stevens Band Noiseworks has reunited and released a Brand New Album…. Evolution…. One member passed away a few years ago Stuart Fraser …. His replacement is The Jack Jones( Irwin Thomas)…. Touring Australia this Summer…. New Single Heart and Soul.
I understand how you feel.... My dad's been gone for 4 years now and you never get over it but it is less overwhelming with time.... I regularly get emotional usually while driving too and for work when I have time to think.... I miss him every day....

Oh man - I'm sorry about your farther. I came here from the Jesus Christ Superstar;.. was going to recommend John and Noiseworks - RIP Milli - but one video down, was this reaction vid, so... The good work was already done 💜
I’ve lost both parents, funny enough I was close to mum but not so to dad due to his alcoholism and physical, not sexual abuse growing up, yet when he passed I was inconsolable for ages bcos he never apologised for my childhood, ( I learnt to take a punch in the face from an early age ), as he got older and got struck down with prostate cancer he mellowed a lot, but still never apologised. As an adult in my early days it did effect me a lot when I got into fights at pubs and night clubs bcos I always had the attitude that you can’t hit me harder than my dad ever did, I’ve grown up a lot and am now 51, I have 3 beautiful kids who are early adult age now, but I’ve always been mindful to never be anything like him, and I have wonderful kids and an awesome life due to the early lessons I learnt in life, which is why I have no sympathy for pieces of crap who blame who they are as adults due to their upbringing, it’s all a choice who you are, there are no excuses for the abuse of a child none. Thanks mate my condolences to you for your loss, this was always one of my favs by Jon Stevens
My favourite Noiseworks song, just regrettable that you didn't play the official video version even if you had to downgrade/mask the image quality as the production sound values were so much better then this live version. Thank you as always, Nick. Commiserations on the (then) recant passing of your father.

Ok a comment on Jon....
He is part of our power singers like John Farnham, Barnesy, Mark Lizotte and the like....
Nick please look at the original video of that song. UNBELIEVABLE

This song has always been one of my all time favourites from Jon Stevens. The studio single version is epic.
OMG! Not enough tissues
Please if you can watch the original video. You won't be disappointed
No Man's Land: by Eric Bogle. Listen to it.
Did you react to You say by Lauren Daigle? Love that one
What you paused/stopped was the studio version of the song -.. It's better than that bootleg version - you should listen to it.
