i love this amp too. i dig how you can go from spanky cleans with single coils to classic rock territory with humbuckers...with the same HSS guitar and without changing anything. so versatile. i like that slap'n' squeeze scene, sounds cool!

In synth land, patch and preset are mostly interchangeable but in some multitimbral synths a preset was a collection of patches. A patch equaled one sound and a preset could contain multiple patches because the synth could play more than one patch at the same time (e.g. multitimbral). A “patch” comes from the modular synth days where synths had no predetermined routing of any audio or control signals and patch cables were required to make any sounds come out (google Moog modular for visual idea) so a particular patch cable configuration or patch for short equaled a particular sound. Then when synth manufacturers figured out how to implement preset memory, the slang carried over.
