ADVENTURE.
Darin & Brandi :)
To get the grease tubes out, I have to grab them with pliers or vice grips and wiggle / twist to break them loose.
Great video and thanks for taking the time to share it.
You've convinced me I don't want to take mine all the way out... Just enough to get the grease into it and get it back together with the witness mark lined up.
You are welcome,, it worked out great for his car.
@@DandiOffroad I did mine yesterday. The 2021 has a bolt with nylock clamping interface on the midsection. I added blue loctite and snugged it up. Most of the metal rattlesnake is gone... There is a hint of it, but it was such a pain in the ass on the Max having to remove the front seat that I ended up not doing the rear. Probably should have but I decided to install the belt temp gauge instead. Glad I did. The little bit of rattle that's left might just be me needing to reach back there and tighten the clamp up next time I'm working on it.
I did the sandcraft carrier on my 4 seater. It had that same rattle and its gone now. My driveshaft wasn't phased right either so I did that and it just seems to run tighter now. The way I did my 4 seater looked a lot easier than what you guys had to do
we weren't swapping the carrier bearing, it already had a soundcraft carrier bearing. I've seen two cars with the Sandcraft carrier bearings still have noise. We were greasing the splines so we needed to get to each end of the drive shaft. This resolved his issue.
@@DandiOffroad oh ok. Mine was the OEM carrier was just rattling. I haven't greased the splines yet, probably should have.
we're going to grease ours and leave the OEM carrier bearing and see what it does. If it still makes noise then we'll put a Sandcraft bearing in it. We have 3,000 miles on our car so I'm curious to see how that goes.
Thank you!!! This past few days a few of us had been discussing this issue on WvTrailN RUclips page, I know there is an actual service bulletin from can am, but they want you to drill and tapp and install set screw on the recieving coupler of driveshaft, I had heard others do the same as you guys and just pack grease and worked fine! I have yet to do so, been waiting for someone to show it actually helped...now we wait for you to say how long it helped?!!!..
AWESOME!! glad we covered it. We still need to do our car,, then I can run it and see how long it last.
I’m local in the town mine started to do this anyway I can take it to you guys ??
why not drill/tap/insert grease zerk so you don't have to take it back out again?
Good point,, maybe I'll do that on mine
Just got a used 2016 Can Am 1000r and the motor sounds like it's workining to hard to get any speed. 4000+ RPM and only doing about 35 mph. Is this normal?
Man that’s a great and not to hard fix and that cage is great. Good I’d keep up the great work
Thanks! Will do! whats next for you ?
I’m probably gonna be filming a update review on the new rugged radio and finishing up prep for YouTV take over
Awesome let us know when it's up
Mine has done it sense new. All the time. Even at high speed
This issue can be fixed at any can am dealer for free as a service bulletin BRP put out. Doesn't matter if the car has warranty or aftermarket mods. Mine went away for about 300 miles then came back after having the dealer fix it, about to take it back and have them fix it again free of charge. Hopefully it'll go away this time.
Got ya,, @ Brett Belardinella had a good point drive and zert it, that way we can keep it greased. We dont take our car to the dealer, we love to save the work for garage videos.
Taking mine to the dealership. Lol
@@vincentchato519 I can tell ya this for free, either get a louder exhaust or learn to ignore it before you buy a Polaris.
Loosen the bolt and slide it alittle back and pack grease in then slide it back up retighten bolt. Takes about 25 minutes. Or take it to a dealership for free and not have your machine for a fee days 🤷🏻♂️. 😜 a special homemade tool makes packing the grease in a breeze.
Yeah we got it all dialed in. Ours makes that noise too but I'm too busy having fun to notice.
Mine's made the metal rattlesnake sound since it was new. I'm going to try this soon.
Mine is RPM based. It's about 5200 RPM. 100 or 200 up or down and it goes away.
Do you know about what rpm yours was doing it?
metal rattlesnake,, I like it. I do not remember what the RPM was,, that was a while back.
mine makes the same rattle snake noise did you ever find out what it was?
@@jaimehernandez4435 greasing the front and rear of the drive shaft did the trick. On my 2021 it was a little more conduct l complicated than on one of the videos I watched, but it wasn't terrible by any means.
Get a flashlight, rotate the shaft around so you can see what is going on. I'm trying to remember, but I think. There might have been a zerk fitting that I could hit. Not sure. I do know I filled the front shaft coupling with grease and the back one and that made a huge difference.
I know the regular grease points throughout the chassis barely had any grease in them... So top those off while you're at it if you haven't already.
I nee hope i have similar noise i take everything allpart to find where is the noise coming from? Is that is the noise you have in your
We greased it and it helped a lot. The greatest response. Our car also sounds like that but I don't worry about it
You're going to burn out your gear kit on your formula garage door opener that 250 spring will not lift that door after you added all that insulation
Well I guess its time for a new opener with a remote,, but I am able to lift the door by hand pretty easily still. What kind of opener should we get ?
@@DandiOffroad just use the one you have till it brakes it's a good opener
We will for sure,, I've been usinging it for 11 years,, it keeps on goin
I'm gonna do the set screw and pit a zero on the opposite side.
Good plan
What was the name of the company with the cage ?
farris motorsports
I just bought a 2022 can am turbo rr max and at 39 to 42 miles its does this I have 200 miles on it brand new it's done this from day one man 🤷♂️and I didn't assume it has to be the dam driveline cant believe this its brand flippin new 😡😡
They do make some noises, I would not worry to much. Our car makes that same noise but we are to busy having fun and don't even notice any more. 4500 miles and all good. This is my buddy's car and it was bugging him so we greased it.
@@DandiOffroad .... yeah I called the dealership they said this also I'm fine just worried I'm a first timer great vid thanks brotha👍✌🤘👌
Exact same for me. Everyone said it's no biggie but super annoying with this expensive of a machine and being brand new.. gonna have the dealer grease it up
I’m so disappointed with the engineers at brp they must have predicted the problem here plus they deleted the rubber boots on there drive lines. I would drill and tap for grease fittings on the yokes
Yeah that would have been nice. Ours makes that noise also, but we just keep beatin the breaks off of it and no issues so far.
My brand new xrs rr ss did it right out the gate I was very disappointed paying 31000 cash for it
I wouldn't be to disappointed, thats a bad ass machine, and this is a very minor issue. Congrats..
Same for me. Brand new 2022 x3 max XRS Turbo RR .. 0 miles and makes this noise at low speeds right out the gate. Installing rugged's now and will have the dealer grease the drive shaft while they're at it and hope for the best.. Did you get yours fixed ?
That is not dirty. Not dirty by a mile. LOL come out East.
LOL,, we would love to
