Awww!! Me too! I was very proud of our national airline. It used to give me a sense of pride when boarding from London Heathrow to Montego Bay.

There is so much hype in this video. It failed in 201, with debts that accumulated to exceed $2 billion, and during its 47-year operating period, it made losses in 45 years.

The mistake was made when Jamaicans voted in the PNP in 1972.
They not only destroyed Air Jamaica but the economy itself by administering 8 consecutive years of negative growth

This airline was founded by a Canadian company so it wasn't Jamaican plane to begin with, they just named it air Jamaica to expand the company.

You’re not correct. Air Jamaica was a partnership between the Government of Jamaica and Air Canada, with Air Canada holding a minority share. Air Canada initially provided technical and managerial assistance. The first aircraft were actually DC8 aircraft’s provided by Air Canada.
