While I do value the elevating of Patois, I disagree with idea that Jamaicans speaking both English and Patois is confusing for kids. Most people on the planet are multilingual and navigate more than one language routinely. A huge number of kids across the world are bilingual and have no problem with it. Rather it is an asset, and being bilingual in Patois and English would be an asset for any Jamaican child. I do agree with the end of the video about incorporating both Patois and English into the Jamaican education system. That makes great sense.

We want to be a rich and prosperous country and English is the language of international trade and commerce and making patois the national language will keep us back and not allow us to exploit our true potential. Singapore had choice at its early development to keep its native tongue but they make the strategy decision to make English the national language and to day a smaller country than Jamaica is rich and prosperous. As a jamaican I want my country to grow and prosperous. Patios is not spoken globally and it will be harder to trade and communicate as well as costly for us Jamaicans as we have to translate from patios to English for trade and commerce purposes

People from the island of Montserrat have an almost identical accent to people from Cork in southern Ireland. I'm from Cork and other Irish say "we don't talk, we sing" ... really we just kind of rhyme our sentences and speak in a higher tone that sounds sing songy to others. Mix that with west African accents and you get Jamaican 😅

Well those Russian like dressed people are not Slovaks and actually none of the shown folk dressed people were Slovaks... Regarding meals, there is plenty of similarities between both countries. Slovak goulash is with more ingredients, like potatoes, mushrooms, beer, etc., hungarian one is more puristic with more spices - meat and sauce. There is no better one, it is just about the taste. Most of the so called hungarian meals are served as well in Slovakia and considered to be slovakian with a small differences in recepies. I would say, hungarians like more spices than us. Their sausages are better, I liked the most one from Bekescsaba which is place of slovak minority - coincidence, however showing our common culture in many respects... The best of hungarian food for me is the fish soup - halaszle and somloi galuska. Actually the word galuska is from slovak word "haluska", however I consider those two meals original hungarian ones. Tha cake/roll baked over the flame is called skalicky trdelnik and is from Slovakia (Skalica region). Now all surrounding countries like to say it is their original recipy... Bryndzove halusky is really famous for Slovakia, however its origin is somewhere from Romanian mountains - their shepperds brought it to Slovakia in 16-17th century. However you will not find a good ones in Bratislava, you have to go to northern Slovakia for that..

southern slovakia= huge hungarian influence, almost feels like hungary north and west slovakia = west slav culture east slovakia = eastern hungary, full of gypsies, really poor no one really wins, the closer you are to the austrian border in both countries the better your life will be, budapest is an exception.
