Hi, I just took delivery yesterday of 2016 Trigger Carbon 1 with this exact same fork, I have it set for my weight and the fork works great on descend, but in climb mode the fork seems to have some freeplay at the top of the fork which causes a knocking noise with each bump, I have done a reset, but still no change, I could just leave it in descend all the time but would be nice to use both, do you have any idea what is causing this? the bike is brand new, was delivered in the box from the shop, shop is 2 hrs away from home, I will call them too tomorrow, but more info i can get the better, thanks, Paul.

Hi, if you bought a brand new Trigger, your fork should be a Lefty 2.0 which is different to this fork. There is a known issue with the 2.0 forks to do with the negative air spring failing. There is a free upgrade that you should talk to your Cannondale dealer about. Its called a '2 Spring' upgrade. If the bike was brand new out of the box you should have this upgrade already fitted - there will be a '2 spring' sticker on the fork if this is the case. Otherwise, I'd get in touch with Mendoncyclesmith.com - they are Lefty experts and can fix pretty much anything. If the bike is brand new, I'd take it back to the shop first - it could be a warranty issue. Hope that helps you out in some way, cheers

Many thanks for your advice, yes it has the 2 spring sticker and I've done a bearing reset since my comment which seems to have made the fork much better, the dealer said it has had the upgrade and a reset may help settling things down which seems to have worked, thanks again, Paul.

What spring do you have in it?I just picked up a M cannondale prophet lefty max 140 ffd and it feels way to soft for me.

Hi, my fork has a PBR damper which uses an air spring so I have it tuned to my weight. It originally started off as a Lefty Max SPV which uses Manitou internals with a coil spring. I got it converted to PBR with the latest 2013 damper. The difference is unreal. Not only is it way more tuneable and super plush but also dropped about 1/2 pound in weight from the fork. If your fork is FFD (fluid flow damper) it was made between 2006 - 2007 so it can be upgraded to PBR as far as I know. It really is well worth doing.

great video I'd like to see this kind of vid in hard G.out corners push to the max . Maybe with some slow mo. I'm wanting to buy the new 2016 habit but I'm still unsure of the lefty. cheees

+Scott Wilson Thanks for the positive comment. Personally, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a Lefty to anyone. I could go on and on how good they are but I'll just say this - I've been an MTBer for 30+ years & in that time I've tried most of the forks out there - I can safely say that the Lefty outperforms everything else, in every way. My advice, don't listen to the internet trolls and the Pinkbike fanboys who hate on it for its looks but have never used one. If you've got an open mind give it a go, I guarantee you'll be pleasantly surprised how good it feels.

Great video! Is it stable on rendering or raw from camera?
