Patience, you should be extremely proud of yourself...I know it's not easy to build a home, but you've done it and that's amazing. The only thing that worries me , is that I didn't see the builders put down damp proofing on the foundation (that black rubber membrane), to prevent water seeping into the blocks and causing mold and damage. I like the area where you built your home, there seems to be a lot of greenery between the homes....thanks for sharing your incredible journey with us....congratulations!! 👍🏽
Thank you for your comment G P and your continuous support, it really means a lot 🙏🏽 When the project started 8 years ago the black rubber membrane was not a wide known knowledge. Even though I questioned why it was not being used, the reply I got was...this is Ghana! I think maybe I need to do a sit down video explaining many of the challenges I faced when I started my build journey especially as a novice and a woman.
@@1HavePatience oh I see, that makes sense because I only found out about it some months ago myself. I’ve been learning from a lot of RUclips videos like yours..,thanks so much for sharing, and you really have a beautiful house. Congratulations on such a huge achievement 👋🏽
Send your people to my channel :D!!! I absolutely love your house. Looks really beautiful. I cannot wait to see it finished. I'm building in rural South Africa on my ancestral land and I'm still so far from finishing :( . I'm up to walls at this point. New subbie AND ALL NOTIFICATIONS HERE!!! Good luck on your next steps.
Hey MamaDee, thank you so much. Bit by bit you will get there with your build - really want to visit South Africa in the near future. Thank you for your support 🙏🏽 I going to check out your channel now 😀
I actually have not added up how much yet... I only started keeping records since 2016. One of these days I will try and get everything added up and present it in a video.
This journey of life, is one step at a time.until we reach our destination.
