With the case of Ferrari, they'd want to sell it to their most loyal clientele. Some new models, for example, the Enzo, require you to own the 288 GTO, F40 and F50 beforehand, and with the Daytona SP3, you should have $30 million worth of assets from Ferrari.

DL has a great collection but he isnt even close. the really rich people you dont hear about. saudi princes etc. they have more money than the the "richest man" DL would need to own FXXKs and such. the cars u buy but dont own bc ferrari takes care of them.

David can you please explain to the people how the allocation work for the SF90fxx. Most think it's the same as the allocation for the LaFerrari replacement which is not true. Tim (Schmee) got a allocation for one and I see in his comments that people like to give him a hard time about it. Tim will not qualify for the LaFerrari replacement but people don't know that if you're a Ferrari customer and had a history with them then they might choose you as a potential buyer for the fxx
It's all based on a point system. Of course in order to get the versione speciale car, you need to buy and keep the standard car. Then it will be seen where you stand in Ferrari's point system, this doesn't include mindlessly purchasing just about anything they offer, you can also purchase an used LaFerrari or 599XX, then your Ferrari points will receive a major boost. You can also increase your chances by participating in Ferrari organised events. Basically you need to show interest in the brand, be loyal to them and they will reward you with a special car.
No relish? I had read something that the so called ban that wasn't really a ban centered around the original LaFerrari that you bought from Robert Herjavec, and that he wasn't allowed to sell it because it was still within the no sell window, and that Ferrari was upset at the both of you. Him for selling it, you for buying it. Of course we all know it all stemmed from helping a brother out when they were down on their luck and in need.
Porsche does that now with their GT-3 series.😮... you have to purchase a bunch of their lesser models just to be considered, not to get one...to be considered! And even then you might have to wait years to get one.😳😱
It just shows you are human and passionate about Ferrari. Hoping one day in the not too distant future I can finally purchase a Rolex and hopefully from you.

Some outlets seem dead set that this car will be a V6TT/ hybrid. I absolutely refuse to believe Ferrari is going this route with their Flagship/Pinnacle Hypercar. I don't care what it sounds like, I don't care how much power it makes, I don't care if it's paired with a hybrid power train. This car is going to be V12TT, V12 NA, or V8TT.

Nobody is forced to buy certain models but buying into the Ferrari portfolio, if someone is interested in the brand, then it builds a relationship with the brand and the brand gives a limited production car as a reward for their loyalty. Think from Ferrari's perspective, why would they give a special car to someone who is a first timer to the brand instead of their existing customers.
