I agree. He's always struck me as a person with a strong sense of gratitude for where he is and what he's accomplished. A custodian of his family business and his Ferrari collection.
Letting go of a car is like losing a family member, I know the feeling. Even tho my cars were supercheap lol

Very honorable thing to do. I'm not sure how common this is amongst the elite collectors, but seeing it represented here is wholesome and refreshing.

From what I've seen in your videos, you've established yourself by applying diligence and respect to anything that you do. Walking the walk. It's a difficult path to take in life, and speaking candidly I'm not sure if I'm strong enough to do the same. Probably not. Even here, you are simply sticking to what you always do. That kindness will definitely find its way back to you.
You certainly seem to be a genuine person, and a person of integrity, Mr. Lee. It’s not too often you see people who have attained great wealth and success hold those attributes in such regard. I look forward to seeing the next one!

Ferrari no longer gives limited ferrari to him. So, he dosen't have Laferrari aperta, Monza sp.

@@milesconradi5899 I'm not sure if any concrete answer has ever been given, but I think it has to do with the fact that he spent $1 million modifying his Dino, which Ferrari doesn't look too kindly at.

I understand where you are coming from. After I purchased my 458 I heard through the grapevine that the prior owner wanted it back. Yes, they are sentimental vehicles. I could sell now and do very well perhaps but it is so hard to let it go.

Never let your 458 go. They’ll go up in value forever. They are better cars than most of the current models.

@@vika0194 Not only is everything about money (see: McLaren) you also need to compare models and see what they have that others don’t. New Ferraris are turbo charged, poorly designed, and have way too many electronics. The last thing you ever want to deal with a Italian super car is a computer issue. The naturally aspirated dual clutch 458 will become very collectible as the last great Ferrari of this generation.

When my turtle need some fuel or service, I always take him to the Shell station.
Hopefully Ferrari watched this and took on board the kind of person you clearly are David. If I was a brand executive making decisions on who and who not would get allocated their cars, I would be putting you at the top of the list. An absolute ambassador for the beautiful machines they create, a man of his word and one that shares his passion for his collection freely with the world, where so many just rack them and stack them like chips in a casino ready to cash in. I've always loved watching your content David and as with today, often revisit older videos, so thank you once again for sharing your collection.

My cousin fell on hard times and had to sell his mother's rare Pontiac Trans Am. After a year the guy had done pretty much nothing with it and offered to sell it back to him. He wasn't ready. What an opportunity to pass up. He was going to pass that car onto his kid. I really appreciate this scenario.

This is what happens when a honest man becomes rich. David understands the smaller things in life and takes time to explain it.
What does he do for a living?
@@martinafghahi He made a video. Basically he worked with his dad to make diamonds for jewelers which didn’t have very good margins to begin with but the economy died and they were forced to start making their own jewelry or loose their business entirely. That’s when they started selling watches and David never sold a single fake or unauthorized Rolex. Now he’s one of their biggest dealers in his mega store with many other brands and doing extremely well. He worked his way up slowly and never cheated.
Was it an agreement made when you bought it from him at the time and you’re honouring it now or was his call the first you knew about it?
I doubt this can be made public without getting the original owner in trouble. That guy's ex-wife can claim the car wasn't sold for the highest market value and she's owed her share of the profits.
