Actually really important subject. My good lady and I had some very interesting discussion about what she could bring on our motorbike. We both have a 28 litre pannier each which must way less than 9kg. For everything. Plus what we wear on the bike. No more than 4 of anything, but we do a lot of laundry in rooms hotels etc. It's basically a miniature version of what you do. And it works.
Not many think of or cover this. Great topic well covered.
    Happy travels

I really admire how minimally people who do bike touring can be! It's so impressive and we like to take a lot of lessons from them! I wish more people talked in-depth on this subject because it would have saved us a lot of time when trying to figure all of this out for ourselves ;)

@@BoundForNowhere we, as motorcyclists are actually learning a lot from the van community. Having just hired a camper and loved it we can see why so many people choose to go this way. Although we both agree we're not ready to give up the iron horse yet. Maybe a smaller bike on the back of a camper is the best of both worlds. Choices choices. Please continue the blogs. Excellent stuff.

@@teneretraveller8980 best of both worlds indeed it would be! Although I'd probably try and find a way to keep the Tenere being its such a nice bike for touring and all. Depending on your choice of rig a hitch mount carrier could probably handle that bike.

@@BoundForNowhere Very impressive!! It looks like you might be using some tips from Marie Kondo in folding so many items into such a small space ;) That is helping in my van as well--but, did I miss where you mention where you store those bags of clothing? Or is that in the video of the new rig that I haven't seen yet? How do you know which bag is which? My dilemma is living in Oregon, where you have to carry stuff for different climates even if you don't travel very far!! It's supposed to be in the 90s inland (100 miles) but it's in the 50s and windy at the coast. I can't believe how much stuff you managed to pack in those little bags. Kudos!!!

How long do you guys stay in one spot/campsite/area for, before you move to the next place? Is it once a week you pack up camp? You should consider vlogging! I travel several times per year on business and at least twice for vacation travel and at 60 years old my wife and I finally started packing more sensibly as well as rolling my clothes instead of folding them (except for business attire). My problem remains that all my clothes are XL or XXL. So one of my t-shirts will take twice the space of one of hers! :) So she always has room in her suitcase for extras.
