Your Airbnb experience reminds me of an experience I had in Gisenyi at a similar setting in December 2019 just before covid closed my country. The experience of their lethargic and slowness sank our spirit. I mean that place was a bit dirty though it looked clean and groomed from outside. Rwanda must invest more in hospitality industry training through suitable tourism colleges . Sometimes I wonder, does Rwanda enforce external cleanliness where people can see but does little due to revenue constraints to the inside of it's people's lives ? I saw people walking bare feet , limited vehicular traffic in towns and too many people relying on actually walking to get to places. Am I wrong ? Please someone tell me am wrong. The country is generally very clean and feels serene but with an air of someone watching over you. Were my feelings misplaced ? Please someone tell me something, . Someone is watching you, it's a police state held by Kagame and his Tutsi clan, and it's very funny how you followed that up with "BUT KAGAME IS GREAT!"😂😂😂. Exactly what a guy who's been watched by Kagame would say 😂😂😂. Him & his clan are not accountable and are the problem.
Hi there. Visited for the first time in April. You definitely got scammed on the cab fare! Concerning food. We had a guy take us to buffet lunches in loads of hotels including the marriot. Prices are cheap as a non local. 3 of us stuffed ourselves for about £18 including drinks at one of them. Once you convert to pounds or dollars, it is cheap and the food is good with lots to choose from.
What you have in the USA is not what you get in Africa. When in Africa look for Africa. Baby is beautiful and you are a beautiful family, but don't expect to get the same kind of world in Africa that you have in America. Love & Peace
Just come back from Rwanda! mix feeling,Kigali beautiful city, clean, service so so! last two days no water in the hotel,,people friendly but be careful, some cheatings, super market,Simba european prices, but good standard,to get sim card,(need show passport, they take photos of you,)its limitation of privacy! police everywhere, max speed in the city-60 km/hour,,office services in the city positive, they try to be helpfull! generelly;compering to other countries in africa,I give 4 stars!
Lol the main form of public transport in Rwanda is the motorcycle taxi. I spent five months in Rwanda and it took me about 1 week to get over the fact that Imma have to either rely on unreliable taxis or spend a lot for a driver. I dont have an infant like y'all so I just forced myself to being on the back of a motorcycle to get around. Now I just love moto taxis, I use them in every African country I visit...unless I can take a mini bus easily.
Indeed the motos are the best way when you combine the ease of getting one, the time in getting to your destination and the cost. If you're a single guy you can't beat it.Sometimes I just have to take a taxi.. If your budget can handle it renting a car is awesome.
The plus in all your reviews is that there are great things happening towards development and investments in the mother continent.. With time we will build a great continent.
If something is an inconvenience or is not there or there is a need, then it is a good business opportunity. If you have the determination, problem solving skills, or resources then it is good way to thrive there. The Rwandan government is looking for problem solving entrepreneurs to help them grow their economy.
Just a genuine interest, is Rwanda all about Kigali? I mean are there no other cities 'cause all we here is Kigali this and Kigali that. Maybe it's because the country is somewhat tiny. Go to countries in the South like Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, and big South Africa and see that there are more developed and neat cities in each and every Southern African country. And they are all eloquent in English...
Iam going to visit Africa soon but don’t know what country yet but I don’t expect it to not have problems that’s the reason I want to go to try to find solutions to them but I would like to go to a English speaking country
lol, i love it when people who have never set a foot in rwanda share their "expert" opinions about life there. the "North korea" are you for real??? sorrows and prayers for you lol

For Black Americans I think Kenya should be on top of your list because they're modern and have more things similar to America. Malls Grocery Stores Uber Internet and more. Nairobi Kenya is better for first time Black Americans traveling to African Continent.
Don't forget it was a French influenced speaking culture, corrupt and dirty, today 30 years later its English clean and organised, give it more time who knows were it will be at😊
Thank you very much for your video and I am very happy to see a young family setting out to explore the world (especially the African continent). As a experienced ex-pat who has lived in 6 different countries (I am born and raised in Florida), in which Rwanda was my home for 2+ years, where I found a beautiful wife, own property, and have a business. Let me give a few observations about this video along with a little advice based on my years of extensive international travel. 1. Research is critical. I noted from your video that this is an area in which you can improve. Adequate research would have provided: 1. The currency exchange rate 2. Uber doesn't exist in Rwanda 3. Grocery stores could have been located using Google Maps I'm not sure where your Airbnb was, but I always have a back up hotel just in case the Airbnb was unsatisfactory. There are markets in which to buy fresh organic vegetables and fruits. This is why advanced research is critical and will make your stay easier and hopefully avoid the headaches. I'm happy that you are exposing yourself to the world and experiencing true Melaninated Freedom ✊🏾 Safe travels and I'm excited for you
25 dollars to drive 30 miles is not a scam. Thats a blessing. Somebody is living a better life because you didnt stiff them to ridong you half and hour away for 5 usd.
The number 1 problem here is you guys coming from AMERICA need to get you'll attitude in check, and stop expecting everything to be perfect, NO PLACE ON EARTH Is, Especially AMERICA. 2, COMMUNICATION. Not every country speaks English so that means learning to find someone in the area that may help you with the language barrier, Question to you two, do you speak Rhuwandian Language? I'll wait, don't worry. 3, If you remember what our brothers and Sisters went through recently, the human resources they've lost, and still today, they are an example of community and country building despite this massive setback and evil they went through. Sure things could be better, but stop expecting the same thing you see or may have in the U.S., and enjoy the Freedom you've never and never will experience in you'll beloved AMERICA lol. Your AMERICAN Media, government, and Big Business have and are still spreading their propaganda about AFRICA as so poor and all the other negative stuff I've heard and am still hearing to this day. Do you'll research, learn about the environment of where you are going to visit in the Motherland, try your best to find credible information and someone or an organization to liaise with, for starters and then improvised when you get there, and so doing, you guy will have the best experience of our beautiful continent that we have been taking from in which we've lost our or part of our history, meaning those of us Living in the Diaspora like me and you. If you can't bring out the positives, then stay in America, or find a better way to make it work, because Africa needs and depend on every one of us to lift her up to her rightful place. Like, love or hate me, doesn't matter, all this is still coming from a place, my heart and mind of Love to you and everyone else. 🙌❤❤❤
Note that no one goes to China , Russia , Italy or France or Thailand and start complaining about comnunication and language barrier ... Yet yey expect african countries to be fluent in their language .
A lot of people don't speak either French or English. Most speak Kinyarwanda which I admire that they use their native language. For a foreigner it can be difficult to navigate but you figure out ways.

Very wonderful place
30min ride in Toronto will cost you around 40bucks. If you guys were charged 25 in Kigali you are angels 🤩

It’s very expensive
I agree. An airport taxi, then a 30 min drive. That’s not a scam price. How much did you want to pay?
I also agree I was a bit taken back by that complain
If you take a taxi that has a meter it can be like 10 dollars. So that is a scam if you pay 30 dollars.
No matter where you go in this world an airport taxi ride is gonna cost you. It’s best to get a hotel with pickup service.

I love your honesty!!!!!!
Thank you
Thank you for your honesty!
Thank you for watching
$25 for 30 min taxi ride sounds pretty reasonable to me. It would be more than double that in Toronto.
That’s expensive for Africa
@@FREEDOMCHASERSLIFE cool

They don’t have a lot of them listed on google yet. But they’re coming gradually
Thang would be great
Lol the main form of public transport in Rwanda is the motorcycle taxi.
Yes we used those in TZ before we had the baby.
Indeed the motos are the best way when you combine the ease of getting one, the time in getting to your destination and the cost. If you're a single guy you can't beat it.Sometimes I just have to take a taxi.. If your budget can handle it renting a car is awesome.
The baby is adorable. Nice couple too.
Thank you
Awesome video. 👌🏾
Thank you so much
Would it be fair to say Kigali is probably better for visiting than living
In our opinion, yes.
The lil baby was just herself entertained with the phone lol 😊
😂😂😂
Always love your content 👍
Thank you
welcome my Israelite brother. All praises
Thank you brother
Fazenda is brilliant and the tour guide are really nice
Absolutely
Helpful tip: learn at the very least some local language next time. It's both respectful and will help you conversation wise as well.
Love from Rwanda 🇷🇼
Thank you
The plus in all your reviews is that there are great things happening towards development and investments in the mother continent..
With time we will build a great continent.
Thanks for watching
If something is an inconvenience or is not there or there is a need, then it is a good business opportunity. If you have the determination, problem solving skills, or resources then it is good way to thrive there. The Rwandan government is looking for problem solving entrepreneurs to help them grow their economy.
So good I will Rwanda!!! Thank You!!!
Thanks for watching
Did you say Move App?
Yes
Just a genuine interest, is Rwanda all about Kigali? I mean are there no other cities 'cause all we here is Kigali this and Kigali that. Maybe it's because the country is somewhat tiny.
Go to countries in the South like Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, and big South Africa and see that there are more developed and neat cities in each and every Southern African country. And they are all eloquent in English...
Okay
Iam going to visit Africa soon but don’t know what country yet but I don’t expect it to not have problems that’s the reason I want to go to try to find solutions to them but I would like to go to a English speaking country
There’s many great country’s choose from
Did you bring with you those minerals robed from DRC?
Just asking 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️!
It's lowkey the North Korea of Africa however it's very well marketed though. Good place for retiring or visiting.
Thanks for watching
Jealous 😆🤡
and generally speaking, look at the society they've built. Sometimes you need a little totalitarianism.
lol, i love it when people who have never set a foot in rwanda share their "expert" opinions about life there. the "North korea" are you for real??? sorrows and prayers for you lol
@@animenation5324 it too much fun,😂 nothing make me laugh like hell than hearing experts tryna teach u a lesson about Rwanda, 😁 the irony is they never set a foot on 🇷🇼 just blah blah...
Freedom Chasers are you guys ever going to visit South Africa 🇿🇦
Yes we are!
For Black Americans I think Kenya should be on top of your list because they're modern and have more things similar to America. Malls Grocery Stores Uber Internet and more. Nairobi Kenya is better for first time Black Americans traveling to African Continent.
Rwanda is beautiful and super clean, I love it there. 🙏🏾 Bless you guys.
Same to you. Thanks for watching.
Glad you enjoyed
Thank you
What do u mean Uber !?but we have“MOVE” by WV.
We know
Don't forget it was a French influenced speaking culture, corrupt and dirty, today 30 years later its English clean and organised, give it more time who knows were it will be at😊
Nice family, but it sounds like u did not do ur homework well b4 landing in Kigali. 🙏
We did some research but obviously there are things that you wouldn’t know until you get there
Thank you very much for your video and I am very happy to see a young family setting out to explore the world (especially the African continent).
Adequate research would have provided:
1. The currency exchange rate
2. Uber doesn't exist in Rwanda
3. Grocery stores could have been located using Google Maps
I'm not sure where your Airbnb was, but I always have a back up hotel just in case the Airbnb was unsatisfactory.
There are markets in which to buy fresh organic vegetables and fruits. This is why advanced research is critical and will make your stay easier and hopefully avoid the headaches.
I'm happy that you are exposing yourself to the world and experiencing true Melaninated Freedom ✊🏾 Safe travels and I'm excited for you
Thanks for watching!
25 dollars to drive 30 miles is not a scam. Thats a blessing. Somebody is living a better life because you didnt stiff them to ridong you half and hour away for 5 usd.
We said 30 minutes not 30 miles. It couldn’t have been no more than 10 miles away.
I love it when Americans visit a foreign country and expect things to be like they are in the United States.
Hey guys.. When in Kenya visit Kereita Forest.
Thanks for the recommendation
When it comes to money and exchange rates… and what’s fare… ALWAYS do your research
You guys need to start doing some street food African foods.... looking for cool people food won't give you an African experience..😊
Thanks for watching!
At 14:35 you’re baby wanted to give her opinion of the trip to Africa too 😀😀.
😂😂😂
No argument here with that assessment.
Calm down dude, wazzup 😆
Note that no one goes to China , Russia , Italy or France or Thailand and start complaining about comnunication and language barrier ... Yet yey expect african countries to be fluent in their language .
if you go to Paris CDG airport, you pay much more for taxi.
Thanks for watching!
It seems like you didn't even have an clue of what going on, but next time try to find a perfect local to show you guyz around. happy to help tho!!💚
Next time!
My birth country 🇷🇼🇷🇼

The English Language issue...give it up for Rwanda..they were formally French-speaking country. English was introduced like 25 years ego.
Thanks for watching!
A lot of people don't speak either French or English. Most speak Kinyarwanda which I admire that they use their native language. For a foreigner it can be difficult to navigate but you figure out ways.
