I own a 1.5 tdci titanium + ecosport 2017 model. My experience has been great.... have clocked 30,000 kms and haven't faced any major issues lately. Yes it does miss out on some features like rear ac, touchscreen infotainment but it gets the job done.
A much much needed review for any city dweller. The automatic version cars gain much more importance in today's traffic conditions. The EcoSport automatic is a very good car. Even though some complain about lack of rear ax vents etc the essential features are there which include auto vipers etc, Ford also has a beautiful handling ride combination which will allow the users to have a good experience if they want some nice weekend trips. The 1.5dragon engine also delivers reasonably good fuel efficiency. The AT variant also has hill hold/descent, creep, paddles which just makes the experience much better. Those who want the best package EcoSport is the car and for those who want a comfy car , typical Indian family man will go for Venue. Those who just prefer vfm has the nexon. Best review at the best time, good thoughts which were the need of the time at present and ahead. Congratulations Autocar India.

Chaitanya Bulakh Throw the ecosport around a corner and you’ll instantly realise that the handling is still superb. I tried the venue and it sucked. It’s sluggish, doors feel light and the steering lacked any feel whatsoever. Nexon is still better but handling wise definitely not the best and it’s interior quality is inconsistent. I know the nexon well as my brother owns one. Ecosport feels solidly built, handles amazing, steering gives excellent feedback. I wish Fiat still sold the aventura as I would’ve bought that one without a second thought. But since it’s not there, ecosport is still the king of the segment

@@vishwajithvikas7103 I agree with you on that. And I am ready to give up any features he mentioned above but I found the Nexon AMT petrol drive quality very jerky and it even gave me a headache in 10-15 mins of test drive in proper city traffic. Tata would do better to move to CVT or even DCT than this AMT.

I dont know who she is, but she talks well and makes sense. A great comparison which helped me in making my own decision. I was completely sold for tata nexon (due to its ground clearance, suspension, safety rating, built like a tank persona & its speakers quality) but when i test drove nexon amt petrol and venue dct petrol, i realized that if i have to go for automatic I need to go for venue. Somehow Nexon lurches forward in traffic the moment you take your foot even slightly off the brakes which scares you to apply the brakes as soon as you release them. Tata calls it creep/crawl function but it feels more like a package of initial massive jump + slower movement in next couple of seconds. The lurch scares you to apply the brakes sharply and you will end up giving those head jerks to everyone in the car. In normal driving conditions this would not be as pronounced as it was in bumper to bumper traffic (which is the main motive behind me opting an automatic over manual). However Venue delivers that creep/crawl function as intended to in bumper to bumper traffic conditions which made driving it a relaxing experience. I am not an enthusiast so cant compare numbers but I felt both of these cars gave upshifts or higher speed normally, when there was sudden space created in traffic and I had to jump in to take advantage of it within 60kmph. Above that, i did not get an opportunity to drive them. I found Venue's cabin more airy compared to Nexon's with higher visibility. I test drove Honda Amaze CVT Petrol and i found the drive experience and power delivery compared to Venue and much smoother than Nexon. However I had to reject it due to lower ground clearance. I know I shouldnt be comparing AMT with CVT and DCT, but its about getting the most out of your money at the end of the day. Venue is not an outright perfect package either and hence I was struggling with picking one even after 1-2 months of research and to-&-fro discussions but its Venue now!
Fair comparison. But anyday I will prefer ecosports in petrol. I feel venue is fancy SUV. Specially when you pay such a premium price but you don't get premium driving experience.
No competition can match the performance, comfort and that sense of contentment we get in our Tata Nexon XZ+ diesel. 1.5 litre turbo diesel is lit🔥🔥, I am in love with my Nexon. I liked ecosport S 1.0 turbo petrol but it was too expensive, way beyond my budget☹️
Comfort wise Nexon better. But brother, nexon is now no more the most performance oriented diesel compact SUV. Xuv300 diesel will easily beat nexon in a drag race hands down. Although nexon's performance is better than other diesel compact SUVs like brezza, EcoSport and venue.
@@debapratimchowdhury6991 yeah bro I definitely agree with you. XUV3OO is the king of segment.
