    I have to be carnivore so - way too much almond flour - which caused me major oxalate problems. Wish this was more to my carnivore way of eating.

    Thank you!!!! I have tried a few recipes and they call for pork panko, almond flour, and coconut flour. I am def going to try this one. The texture looks a lot closer to actual cornbread than the other recipes I have tried so far!!!!!

    Instead of buttermilk could u use heavy whipping cream with s little vinegar. Does the corn extract make it sweet?

      I've never thought of the whipping cream w/ vinegar, I would assume it would be fine. If you try it please come back and let me know how it turned out. No, the corn extract is not sweet. This is a savory cornbread recipe. Thanks for watching.🥰

    Hello, The 4.7 carbs is that per slice or for the whole pan. I'm new to eating low carb. I tried your cornbread recipe and it was very good .How do you calculate the ingredients in a recipe. Thanks God bless.

    I suggest to up the game of health aspect to add a couple spoons of turmeric and Ceylon Cinnamon to it ( lowers blood sugar and adds color)

    For me, I like crust. So I’d probably put enough butter in that skillet to make it sizzle and curl even before the bake.

    I think that I will try this. Most videos that I have watched on keto cornbread, they have been doing too much. Your ingredients were simple and usually I have those in my cabinet. Only thing I don't have is, a cast iron skillet.

    I think if you ground your own almonds, you could get the grainy texture of cornmeal. Try it sometime and let us know what you get.

    The baking soda is added because the buttermilk is an acid. The recipe still needs baking powder to rise properly and add texture. The same as buttermilk cornbread made with cornmeal. I use 2 full tea. baking powder. “The tartness of buttermilk is due to acid in the milk.” Return email notifications are not available at this time.

    I just paused this video bc I had to comment that i appreciate the use of the spatula, even when you used it to scrape out that half teaspoon of extract. I do the same for almost everything lol

    Don't add sweetener , add chopped onions to cornbread, bake in a hot skillet.

    Okay so I made it like you said except I used heavy whip and cream because I didn’t have buttermilk. I baked it for 20 minutes but mine came out brownish in color not yellow…Why do you think that is?

      Oh No!! Are you serious??? I have sold A LOT of their corn extracts! Do Not buy that! I will find another one and link it for you in my bio. I purchased mine for 18.99 a year ago, and now the seller has jacked up the price. 🤦🏾‍♀
