    This was super helpful! I'm holding a cold plunge fundraiser (for a local ALS non-profit, I peeped that towel!) where we'll be spinning and then plunging (probably 50ish people, 3 tubs). I'm mulling through options on how to keep it not gross - clearly the spray off is a good start, would you recommend the same products based on my situation?

    Hey David! Great videos! Quick qestion. Have you had any issues with a dark greenish yellow sticky film forming on the walls and floor of the ice bath? My water is super clean but there is a sticky ring around the tub at the water line and in the floor. I use a prefilter like the one you recommended to fill the tub. Then I use hydrogen peroxide, Sinora sanitizer and enzyme Clarifier. My pump and sediment filter is the exact one that you recommended. Any ideas what this stickiness is forming? Thanks David!!!!

    So happy to see people accepting real life. Children are not here to be shooed away every time we need to "work". I know other therapists - that presentt themsekves as experts in mental health, and advise others for money - that literally scream at their children and friends prior to a session/client arriving. The most incongrueng behaviour that reeks of deception.

      I have some questions - hope you can help! have a revive, inflatable plunge. Been working great but I had an awful cloudy water issue.. so I emptied it out, bought all the products on your Amazon except for the ozone bc it won’t ship to California, and so far it seems to be working! Question… what’s the purpose of the small green pump? I had been leaving it on all day, but it seems like I’m only supposed to use it once a day? U fortunately I can’t get it to suction, so it kinda chills at the bottom… thoughts?
      To clarify, you do a quarter bottle of HP or only a few camps each week?
      If I can’t get the ozoneator you have bc I live in Cali and it doesn’t meet some sort of standard, what would you recommend I search for instead?

    When you first fill up with new water, do you pour 1-2 cap of peroxide then and then continue once a week after that. Or, you pour a quarter of the bottle in and then 1-2 cap of peroxide once a week after that?

No privacy outside but I have a huge basement (concrete only) and have the space next to my washing machine (close to where the washing machine hose goes into sewer line). Have you ever had a bad smell when cleaning the filter. I had to turn off my plunge for a week……went to clean the filter after draining and filling with fresh water. The smell from the canister was awful!! I use a GE whole house canister filter and JED 203 ozone when the unit is running and the water is crystal clear with no smell …. So I’m guessing it was just the old water sitting in the canister for a week at 100 degrees…… wondering if you ever experienced anything similar?

If so, turn on the ozone with the tube in the water under the lid, let it run, dont breath the air directly above the plunge and once you run the ozone, let it sit (under the lid) for 30 minutes before opening the lid or getting in. 1) In Colorado we can't "rinse the sweat off with a hose" for most of the year.
    2) Why does a Cross-Fitter do anything? So they can talk about Cross-Fit.
    3) Hope you have a great day!

    Why food grade hydrogen peroxide as opposed to the kind at the drug store?

    • @DavidMausJr
      @DavidMausJr  Год назад

      Food grade hydrogen peroxide is generally a 35% dilution, compared to the 3% to 5% hydrogen peroxide that you can get at the drugstore. It does not contain stabilizers like phenol, sodium stannate, tetrasodium pyrophosphate, and acetanilide like regular hydrogen peroxide does.

  • @moysfree6660
    @moysfree6660 Год назад +1

    Food grade hydrogen peroxide is expensive and you're using a lot of it if you can just get a bottle of chlorine that you use for your hot tub and just put a quarter teaspoon in the cold plunge every time also I would add an AirStone with an air pump for aquarium this is much more affordable and I'll keep the water clean and circulating I built my old cold plunge out of a 500 L freezer and I used an inkbird temperature control I silicone all of this seems and I simply unplug it before I get in
