    Thanks for not applying yourself Alacrity from the start, I get to see the alacrity is quite tight with almost no margin of error (most benchmark for offensive support start with all boons applied)

    Thank you, finally ren can rid themselves off leadership runes and gained more dps overall. The alacrity application is still pretty tight and swapping legends under 10% is still a problem with no errors allowed but overall its an improvement, now Rev can literally do anything 😁.

      Sure you can take different runes, but promoting lower boon duration for the sake of greeding dps as a support is just a terrible idea. I'd rather take an alacren that does 15k damage but gives 100% alac uptime with errors and to the people leaving the group for mechanics than a 25k dps alacren that has only 70% alac uptime on the entire group.
      People need to acknowledge that as dps supports, whenever you fail your supportive role (like providing a critical boon such as alac) you LOSE more dps in the entire squad than what you personally gain because of a few more thousand dps on your benchmark.
      It's the one thing that snowcrows DOES NOT convey to anyone looking at their dps support benchmarks, gear requirements, rotations. Do not greed for dps as a dps support. Over compensate for your boon because people will split, they will leave to do mechanics, they will dodge out of your pulses. Account for this and your overall squad dps will be higher thanks to your dedication to the role - not the dps you can bring.

      @@kajhall3581 What you said had a fair point to any other Alac providers but not in the case of aRen. According to that logic in term of the person bring Alac unless you are a dedicated Rev player that go agaisnt all odds to play this class must know the rotation on this one is really tight to execute well, ignore the 10% swap then the dps drop is clear and everything will become pretty chaotic, at this point me personally will just go with other Alac options for more efficiency, more dps and easier to take on rotaion.
      YOU decided to take on the supportive role then and the COMMON SENSE is to fufill your role something went wrong = fix it, b4 the change the BD requirement for aRen is ridiculously high and the rotation is not that easy to deal with to the point it is painful to play. I tested the new build right after my first post and it opens up a whole lot room for improvements even if i messed up a bit my personal dps still there and i can still save up for that one click Alac button thus nothing to complain about, a clear win for aRen as far as i can see.
      I don't know what is the point of your post is or you have a tooth to pick with SC but anyone made it to the end-game surely knows exactly what they are dealing with and i did not promoting anything out of the blue the fact that this build got buffed is there thus i tested it and my statement stay true and serve as a reference to anyone read it.
      Peoples running out of my Alacrity pulse range while doing mechanics is the last thing i should worry about to be fair, it is aRen weakness and anyone picked this class up suffers the same problem if this truely as you said and i should be worried then at that point i would rather pick up the cheesy power aMech that constantly pulsing instead of something i personally WANT to play.

      @@kajhall3581 fair points but boon dps should also provide dps, lower standards over the years made people think its alright to do 8k on classes like qfb while the bench is around 36k for example, i find calacren super easy to play + even easier to maintain high alacrity uptime and the answer why is so simple, you are basically adjusting your entire rota based of your f4 cd, meaning as its your main focus point you are more likely to use it the moment it comes off cd.
      also for teammates dodging and stuff like that alacren has huge alacrity aoe, if you arent stacked enough to be in its your fault at this point and you deserve to be without alacrity, for splitting you usually always will have downtimes on boons unless its a subgroup split than uptimes will remain perfect unless people go to wrong places.
      basically what im saying is people need to be able to do good dps on a boon dps role while providing high boon uptimes, you cant ignore dps and just be an f4 bot, if thats your mentality about dps supports dont play them please

    do you have new update or change about this build for soto?

  • @2222lex

    I like how renegade has more freedom in gear now!
    I am afraid that they will think this build does too much damage (similar too some regular dps builds) and will be nerfed.
    As a consequence this would mean the condi dps build would also be nerfed, since the builds and rotation are pretty much identical (unless damage dropoff would be compensated in "Lasting legacy" or power coefficients).
    Let's hope they don't nerf it though and enjoy the build:D

    • @theStamax
      @theStamax Год назад +1

      There's already other alac supports with comparable dmg (And less difficult rotations), so I don't see why they'd nerf this without also nerfing the others. Mind you, that this is almost impossible to pull off in any real raid / fractal scenario. Reason why I personally play double shortbow, which sacks some dps, but is much more reliable (still pulls like 25-28k with alac uptime)

    im really struggling with swapping from kalla in time/spending enough kalla energy to start demon with 75

    • @Umbrrra
      @Umbrrra  Год назад +1

      It takes practice and speed. An alternative way to play is to use the Song of the Mists trait and Icerazor's Ire twice (first and last in Kalla). Keep at it!

    Did anybody try new power alacrity renegade ? I would like to know how it is doing currently and I don't have the gear to try it :/

    • @2222lex
      @2222lex Год назад +1

      Someone from SC has tried it and updated the power alac build under the legacy section (at the moment). It was done before the patch but with gear that you would be using after the feb 14th patch (having enough alac uptime from the machine).
      They did 28685 dps, but saying it might get a bit higher. Vid is named: Alacrity Renegade | 28.685 (27.4k small hitbox) | February 14th patch.

      just to note, power alac ren has never stopped being "meta" for fractals. it was only overshadowed in the first month of eod because of how broken power alac mech was. but since the BD change a month or 2 ago power alac renegade can burst about 55k-65k dps in 5seconds and sustain about 30k dps for another 4s depending on what specific stat set you take. I just take the normal berserkers for most of the gear and diviner for the rest but if you take like half dragon half berserker? I think its better. only thing is to make sure you have 33% Boon Duration, I personally run 40% so I can have leeway on my alac up time. now the sustain is horrific, but that is fine, even in full pugs cms the phases end at about 11-14seconds if it ends at like 10-11s I might just straight up beat one of our actual dps people.

    How much dps loss if i go full ritualist instead? It looks pretty tight for someone dumb like me 😂

    • @mitchellstratton5511
      @mitchellstratton5511 Год назад

      Total strike damage dealt is equal to the damage dealt per attack times the proportion of time you dont crit, plus the damage dealt per attack times the chance to crit times crit damage.
      Strike_Damage = (D * (1 - Crit_Chance)) + (D * (Crit_chance) * (Crit_Dmg))
      from the logs, strike DPS was 3025, and a crit rate of 68.31% with 150% crit damage.
      3025 = (D * (1 - .6619)) + (D * (.6619) * (1.5))
      Here, D is equal to what the strike damage would have been if no crits ever occured, which is 2254.85 DPS if you solve for it.
      but, crits will still occur in full ritualist; base crit chance is 5%, plus 25% from fury. crit damage would remain unchanged.
      so we can recalculate what the strike damage would be with full rit by:
      N = (2272 * (1 - .3)) + (2272 * (.3) * (1.5)) = 2593 DPS
      the net DPS loss would be 432 DPS.
      [ the utility consumable used is dependent on precision which you'd have less of, so you might see some loss of dps there (or just use a different consumable),
      also, my estimate assumes that all strikes crit at an equal rate, which they dont. "Manifest Toxin" has a weirdly high crit rate of 90%, which might throw off the numbers ever so slightly, but it should be a negligible difference]

      @Deonnar11 Год назад +3

      @@mitchellstratton5511 You get 33% crit chance from the brutal momentum trait, so even in full ritualist you have 63% crit chance, the crit chance difference is a bit over 3%. But, you'd lose out on 121 power if you swap the viper coat to ritualist gear. So the dps difference should be caused by the 3.19% crit chance diff and the 1750 vs 1871 power diff. Overall according to some napkin math and some playin' around with dT's gear optimizer it shouldn't be a bigger loss than 300dps
