You don't honestly think that's the entire enclosure do you? It's probably just a smaller area just for the mother and calf so the keepers can check up on it before introducing them back with the other giraffes.
This is a very good example of how evolution sometimes works; changes aren't always gradual over .... eons; sometimes it just. .. Poof; nature just has a change. If the change results in the well-being of the species it can be passed in to the next generation! You go girl!
Giraffes' spots are for camouflage. A spotless calf in the wild would have a much smaller chance of surviving. Your understanding of evolution is flawed.
The Cheyenne mountain zoo in Colorado Springs Colorado has a big 🦒 herd & had have for a very long time. One of the most historical in the US as well id bet they could learn ya a thing or two!!
Maybe because its nature evolved the survival spots and because they dont live in the wild they dont need it tot survive. Have seen this with other Animals to.
This does looks like a terrible ground to walk on, why all the rocks? She is a rock eater? No, she wants grass, but all she got is rocks . I sure hope this is not the main habitat...
@@TortugaHolandes lol ababy giraffe drink milk. But... adults eat leaves that make up the majority of the giraffe diet (more than 90 percent in the wild), the animals do sometimes graze on grasses... But they dont eat rocks 😂

They don't actually have spots for camouflage. That's a myth. Because giraffes live in places that are generally pretty hot, they need a good way to help cool themselves down. Spots are likely one of the methods they use to accomplish this. The skin underneath the spots has both extra-large sweat glands and a unique arrangement of blood vessels.
@@MeghanBrowning-cy3tmInteresting. But then how does it work for this Giraffe? Do you expect that it has those specific sweat glands and blood vessels over the entire body?
It's whole body is the color of their usual spots, so I wonder if it's something like melanism in leopards and jaguars.
I think Jamella suits the baby perfect, because first it means "someone with big beauty" and second it looks like a mix of a giraffe and a camel.
I agree, when i first heard it, it clicked with me.☺👍🏼🦒🥰🤗
What's a matter folks, you blind, she's not spotless, she's one big spot
I'm glad someone else has an issue with that label too 😅
The Spot after finding enough colliders.
She is beautiful.
She’s not spotless, she’s ALL spot!
SO. DARN. CUTE!
What a beautiful little girl she is - they need to plant some grass and enlarge the enclosure and put bushes and trees out there.
She's so beautiful ❤
Wow, this giraffe is amazing! But what a sad environment (stones and bare fence)?! Don't they have trees, bushes and grass and sand to live on...?
I agree
You don't honestly think that's the entire enclosure do you? It's probably just a smaller area just for the mother and calf so the keepers can check up on it before introducing them back with the other giraffes.
I like the name Jamella. She is just so adorable it's beyond words. I could call her Jammie too. I love all animals.🦒🦒🦒🦒🦒😍😍😍😍😍
She is so beautiful! My vote goes for Jamella 🤎

She’s beautiful! I would have named her Spot.
That was my thought too. Would be ironic.
Beautiful!
They should call it a cagooa
She is adorable
Name her Uno! She doesn't not have spots, she has one big spot
Jamella imo suits her perfectly! 😊

So does this change our perspectives. Is a Giraffe White with brown spots or Brown with like a white netting pattern??? 🤔🤔🤔
Super adorable
I wonder if they checked her coat under a black light. Maybe she has invisible spots similar to the invisible zebra stripes on humans!
BEAUTIFUL!!😍
Maybe evolution decided that the giraffes in zoos don't need camouflage anymore.
They better protect that helpless spotless baby from the dangerous anti-animal human world out there so keep her very good armed well protected!
Being a fan of Irony, I'd Name it SPOT. . .
She has one big spot.
I’m glad she’s not in the wild. She would not survive there
Maybe because its nature evolved the survival spots and because they dont live in the wild they dont need it tot survive. Have seen this with other Animals to.
Want a beauty, unique in her kind. Therefore Kipekee ❤, live a happy and long life!
Missed opportunity to call her Spot
I'd call her Suedy Lady.
Plain Jane was my entree. Plain is also 'Savanna'.
Spot was my idea too, many hours ago. So 'first'.
Very productive, stealing and scamming around. Shows IQ faillure too, and lacking essential DNA strings...
I think they should name her SPOT.

Giraffes normally don't eat grass. Why do you think they have long necks?

Definitely Brownie or Spot!!!
She should be named Missy./ Missie( From the missing spots)

touch grass
The current president will soon blame this giraffe’s anomaly on globing warming 😆✌🏽

I would call her 'spotless'
it means set them all free
Shakiri... good name
Hmm.. why spotless rather than stripeless?
I think it's spots ran together and took away the stripes 😆

Jamelle, because it looks a little my name. 😉
how about the name Albertine? For that beautifull little one?
This looks more like a prison for the poor animals.
No grass, just concrete and stones, they only see nature through bars.
Spotless on the zoo spot
