I bought every product here except for the cradle cap wash (and we use coconut and olive oil currently instead of jojoba), and my baby girl’s hair is loving it! We moisturize with the leave in and oils each day in between wash days and she sleeps on silk to avoid friction). We started this at about five weeks old and she’s now seven weeks old. @@lunaghostie4630 We’re using standard extra virgin olive oil. It doesn’t provide as much curl definition to my daughter’s hair as the coconut oil does, but it keeps moisture locked in for much longer. That’s why I currently combine the two-to get the best of both (definition and hydration).

Babo botanicals also has conditioner for babies. I also use a silk band on my babies mattress to protect her curls at night. It’s from silky tots-pricey but worth it!
I am not sure that this is a great idea to use so many products on this sweet tiny fragile head. I see your point and I got it, but I think that on this early stage the less the better. A sweet oil of your choice and a gentle shampoo is enough. Besides, all those products are not aim for babies. This routine is great, but should be start when the child is at least 3 or 4 years old. Baby dove has shampoo and conditioner for textured hair… it has coconut oil, almond oil, calendula, chamomile, and oatmeal…and it smells sooo good. They also have the body wash and lotion too.
Using this number of products is definitely your own personal choice.. I am a licensed cosmetologist that specializes in healthy hair, so for me this is necessary

You have to know what works for your baby my baby can’t have a lot of product in her hair but this baby’s hair is a lot fuller than my baby’s hair so that might work for that baby better

When I was a teenager, I was asked to wash a little girl's hair. I turned the water on and checked the temperature to make sure it was Luke warm. I allowed the water to run through her hair and all of a sudden without notice the temperature turned to really hot burning the child. So I would just suggest using a cup to wash babies hair especially that small.
I started this particular routine when she was about 1 month 1/2 - 2 months .. I was her hair no more then twice a week.. in the beginning I would sometime have to wash her hair 3 times in week because her dandruff was so bad and it was itching her. But if your baby doesn’t have any scalp issues I would only was their hair once a week

I'm so glad I found this. My baby girl will be born in March. Shes my first baby & I'm assuming her hair is going to be curly. In my last ultrasound they told me she had a full set of hair. 😍 so excited for that. Her dad is Jamaican with curly hair & I'm Hispanic with mostly straight hair but it does have just a bit of wave to it. I'm so worried I'll damage her hair so I've been doing alot of research in case she does have curls.
