    Real problem was at night when outdoor temperature dropped, head master held back starving liquid line. By the time we get there the day warms up changing operating conditions. Two of those fans need to cycle off for better performance, discharge pressure fan cycling is better than O.A. temp. thermostats.

    Rule of thumb on your receiver for winter charge should be 3/4th full. That’s a good and easy way to check your levels on the receiver. Your also correct about Freon doesn’t just go away.

    I once used a can of "Fix Flat" and found I was filling tire every two weeks instead of every day. That way you can scoot the tire shops to catch them when they are not busy. You can't put it off for too long, or your tire runs out of "Fix Flat" wonder goo.

    Hey if you go 3/4 way on reciever you arexstill safe correct? Also newbie here. When charging in winter what is best practice for adding winter charge. ? Block off condenser till the the hpnis abouve set point of head Master then fill sight gkass then extra wi ter charge? Always get confused. Fir me in sumner i add till i fill sight glass then use sporlan 90-30-1 manual to figure how much i need fir flooded condenser. Also one last question. Winter chatge on micro Chanel ?

    I carry a plug kit for me but yeah, fleet vehicles have to be done by a shop.
    Whataburger sounds good though. Going to get some fuel today and get out of the house so who knows maybe that is where I will go. You and my wife would have got along good though, she would put jelly on the oddest stuff. But she was from Jamaica and when I was there things had a really different flavor. Their ketchup has a lot of sugar added and tastes more like jelly. And the hot dogs taste like they have never been cooked...

    Why wasnt the headmaster still opening and closing if the new psi was at 179? It didnt go up to 180 at all? And why did head psi fluctuate so much even if its under charged? Never seen that before

    • @rookierefrigeration4357
      @rookierefrigeration4357  4 года назад +2

      We were really low on gas. The liquid seal inside the receiver was being forced out every time the headmaster bypassed. Only thing I can think of. Once I added enough refrigerant, the liquid seal is now good to go and so the pressure can be below 180, the headmaster will still bypass but now you will have steady flow. 💪🏼

    • @rookierefrigeration4357
      @rookierefrigeration4357  Год назад

      You heat up the receiver. The line where you feel the difference is the liquid level. The vapor above the liquid will absorb sensible heat so that’s where you feel the temp difference. Liquid won’t gain it.

      XRAY Bravo liquid seal is a term for the amount of refrigerant needed inside the receiver to successfully feed liquid refrigerant into the liquid line. If you are not at that point or higher, you will feed flash gas (vapor). It means you’re low
