    Karakasevic with a real physical condition should have been in the world top ten for several years. A real pleasure to watch. Great touch

    A couple things why Karak is much more fun to watch and more interesting that any Chinese player not named Xu Xin and most of the other top players in the world:
    1. Speed changes
    2. Spin Differences
    3. Backhand Variety
    4. General Shot Variety
    He never just loops and it's not just big swing after big swing, it's an actual game being played out. Karak thinks and that makes the game so much more fun to watch

    What a blast! Absolutely amazing match! Karakasevic's game IQ is out of this world. No wonder he still a threat. So glad I found this video, thanks to the uploader!

    Kara has such a wonderful ball touch especially in backhand, I can't imagine the monster he would have been if he had a better footwork

    • @rurban
      @rurban 3 года назад +4

      King Kara does not need footwork and he doesn't need much elbow with such a hand. People cannot read his BH strokes and blocks, because he doesn't move anything. That's his power.

    • @esmolol4091
      @esmolol4091 Год назад +5

      @@rurban I would even go this far and say, kara wouldn't have had such an insanely good backhand IF he had a better footwork, because that backhand snappiness compensates a lot of shortcomings in his speed.

    The most irrational and unorthodox behaviour ever seen in ping pong. An ever changing pace, spin and service returns. This is entertainment!

      Of course he's celebrating. He has been playing in the world elite for almost 20 years and have never got this far in a really big competition. Going to the semis means a medel for him. You can really see when he hugs his coach that it means a lot to him

      ćao Zorane, polako sa tim "ikad", njegov ćale je svojevremeno bio možda i bolji, to mnogi više ne znaju ;)) kad sam bio klinac, trenirao sam ponekad pored njega, tada Aleksandar nije bio još rodjen :)) Volim da gledam Aleksandra! Čudi me da i on ne igra pen-holder kao tata LOL

      I see where you’re coming from, but Kara is more aggressive with his loops and blocks than ol’ Apple. Having said that, the Apple was incredibly consistent and rarely missed. If only Kara had Apple’s consistency and physique.

    I can see that Karakasevic and Djokovic have the same disrespecting manner of celebrating. If the opponent is shattered, just calm down a little.

    • @scottlo211
      @scottlo211 9 лет назад +17

      Dude...what? Lol how was Steger shattered? It was a close game. Some people just express their passion in different ways. If you won the championship of any sport that you play, wouldn't you do the same? Yes you would, because it means something to you.

    • @lousyfication
      @lousyfication 9 лет назад +8

      Karakasevic hard working and deserved the win imho. And I don't see him being very disrespectful by celebrating - but I don't like the behavior of his coach! And YES, Steger IS very disappointed (shattered, shaken, shocked if you want) losing that close. So it would have been polite being a little bit more "classy" by Kara. Nowadays people expect the athletes showing their emotions (unfortunately). And sometimes it gets overacted I think.

      Guys Kara was 36 in this video, which means he's been playing table tennis for maybe 30 years, and at that very moment he just reached the semis of the ETTC, which is the best achievement in his whole career! So it's normal that he can't control his joy, and I find it beautiful when you see so much emotion in table tennis, when I see him so happy after winning I'm happy for him too, Steger may be disappointed (and by the way, Steger is far from being the most respectful player in TT too...), but that's the law of sport, there must be a winner and a loser, it's stupid to want players not to express their joy after winning, especially when it's the biggest thing in their whole career
