  • I ordered a White Dogwood Tree from FastGrowingTrees.com. I am starting to build out my backyard and the first thing I wanted to add was some trees that I could grow over time to provide shade. I found this beautiful White Dogwood Tree online and decided to give FastGrowingTrees.com a try. Join me as I order, unbox, and plant the tree

Dogwood trees look great particularly in the spring. We have several about a mile down the road from our house along the road (in fact the road is called “Dogwood Hills”.)
Careful with all those rocks. I can’t tell if y’all have put in St Augustine or Centipede grass but rocks left in the yard can be hard on your mower (and on anything/anybody the mower happens to launch rocks at). I struggle with that as we have a gravel driveway and parking area out front. Try to get them off the surface as best you can.
Sprinkling Epsom Salt (Magnesium Sulfate) on the roots into the mulch may help with growth. I’ve had success with that with our Azaleas and Fig Tree.

Yea. Im excited for the tree to grow nd flower. Too bad it's winter now so it's just starting to brown and droop. Hopefully the winter isn't that harsh this year and we get a small bloom in the spring.

Hello Chris I have a question I live in East Texas zone 8B, I planted a white dogwood that got from Lowes and it was doing well, then started to have probles with branches dying, and the rest of the tree was fine it happened like with 4 branches and I just kept on cutting the dying branches, and the tree would look good after that, but am afraid that it will happen again. I have not had a great experienced with white dogwoods this is like my fifth tree. then I purchase a pink/ red dogwood and that one from the begining has done great is growing beautiful not like the whiteone, do you have any other tips to keep the whiteone going strong? thank you kindly.

I'm actually experiencing a different issue. My Dogwood has started to grow leaves, and it was great at first, however, lately, the leaves are droopy and withered. When I researched the tree, I read that Dogwoods thrive in East Texas. I have a lot of clay and water doesn't drain very well in my backyard, so that is potentially what is causing my tree not to thrive.
Is the location you planted in shaded with well-drained slightly acidic soil? Are you using any fertilizers?

LOL, “a little work never hurt anyone”. People who work physical labor only say that when they’re working with someone who doesn’t do much hard physical labor. Good video, interesting that you can order trees online. It’s a beauty too, nice work.

i was browsing burpee seeds website looking for seeds and they now default to younger trees and you have to select seeds which i thought was crazy.

I think you spaced it wrong. you’re too close to the fence. Your tree branches are gonna go over the fence and encroach on your neighbor. You should’ve planted it further in you need to know where the spread of the tree is going to be

Unfortunately, we have plans for the remaining space. We also spoke to our neighbor who planted their own dogwood so we could mutually block out the apartments behind our yards over time.

seems he almost tore off tree trunk from root ball by lifting it up and holding it by stem , do not do it people - lift it from bottom ! #2 planted too deep . Amazing how he pretended to make "learning" videos and had no clue what he is doing .

I received mine on 7/3, it had zero water, the leaves (all 8 of them) were brittle there were no branches it was a 3 foot tall dead stick,,the tree was over a hundred dollars and 6 days total ship time the idiot who boxed it needs to rewatch the training videos from when he was hired.
