Right arm bent at impact is the one thing that is a must for most golfers to be consistent. Just understanding this and working on achieving it is a massive step forward. I never even considered it for years and was always fully extended at impact. Now, 'right arm bent at impact' is my only swing thought. It's amazing how the body finds the right positions in every other respect if you achieve that bent right arm.

It is the most simple swing in the world once you figure it out. It increases distance, accuracy and consistency. Front arm straight, wrists hinged, back elbow close to the body and slightly forward, rotate your upper torso around your spine-keep your wrists hinged until impact and beyond...this will construct your natural swing plane and take the club flush to the ball.

Jonathan, absolutely outstanding explanation and drill's for the proper setting of the Trail Arm, Rotation and Side Bend!! Maintaining this "structure or setting" will absolutely make the "compression" of the golf ball much better and take the arms and hands OUT OF THE GOLF SWING!! Thank you, .... keep up the great work. 😎⛹️‍♀️🚴‍♂️🤸‍♂️

It is so important your explain the motion required with the body or parts of the body first. Too many coaches just focus on the form and the position of the club without ever giving instructions how the body movement can achieve that. Like your vids!

Hi Jonathan thank you for sharing your videos really appreciate your insight into the golf swing. Can you talk about how the lead arm needs to be positioned. I see a lot of pros with there albow pointing to the target at address or that's Wharram it looks like. What are your thoughts?

The interesting thing for me about this is that i've been releasing my arm a bit too early which is giving me slightly pulled shots. This is a pretty good drill to help with shallowing and allignment of shots into the follow-through. My biggest problem is consistently getting into this position, but when I do my shots are flush, when not, they get pulled slightly and it looks like my draw becomes a "bad hook" when its really just me not executing the swing well. Good reminder and thanks!

Seems like the first drill shown at 3:10 runs the risk of undoing what was learned in "Beginner Series Episode 5: SMALL SWING" (keeping both arms straight). That probably should have been mentioned. I understand the intent and sprit of the drill though. Thank you for sharing.

Great tricks, never seen it explained with the sticks in those locations before. The right arm is 'really important' like that in the swing so you don't come over the top and other mis hits. The right arm isn't really explained well and how important it is in your typical lessons at the range.
