Did you do any natural inductions methods like herbs, spicy foods, membrane sweeps, sex, evening primrose, castor oil?? For my first pregnancy I went to 42.5 and did all these things to bring on labor. I'm pregnant again and wondering if I should engage in these natural induction methods when "it's time" or let things rock on their own? Xoxoox
For my first, I labored for 20 hours. 5 hours pushing to deliver vaginally but ended up with a c-section because I was vomiting every contraction and babies heart rate was dropping. It was such a mix of emotions and also a long mental recovery.

Shout out from your sister from houston texas. 🤘 You are soo brave for following your heart in what you wanted for you, your baby and this pregnancy! 🫡👏🙌🙏💪
I’m so happy for you yovanna. Every woman is entitled to have the birth they choose. So glad you had the strength and were able to have a good experience. I am currently 37 weeks pregnant and I am definitely anxious but I too have surrendered myself and my baby to God.
Home birth all the way!! I had two of them and they were the most beautiful experience ever! I'm going to have my third at home this time it will be a free birth. And I know how to give birth, my body knows what to do and my intuitive being gives me the confidence to do this!
Miss you Yovana. So happy for you. This something that you really wanted and you did it. So proud of you. ❤wishing you all the best. Feliz Navidad y un Prospero año nuevo.
What a stunning birth story from an amazing mama filled with faith and incredible mental strength! You did it Yovana! You're giving me so much courage for my upcoming birth. I love you and I'm SO HAPPY for you! ❤
Que bonita tu historia Yovana! Que bonito verte crecer en paciencia y seguridad! Muchas felicidades!!! Psd. Love your whole makeup look! Te ves súper hermosa y natural y glowi
My pregnancy was awesome however I was also induced and did not like the process but my son eventually was a vaginal birth. My son had a strong heart and thank God he was born healthy/happy. God bless your new baby and home. ❤❤
Congratulations!! So happy for you, and Praise God. His Word works. Its funny i have had very similar experience to your two births. My first one was in the hospital and it was very medicated, the second one was all natural in a birth house. Also i have 2 girls! ❤
I had a homebirth at 39 weeks! So so grateful for being able to do this. Just curious, your first midwife transferred care, why didn’t this one do the same at 43 weeks? Not that she should have! Im glad you were able to have this!!!❤
Hi Yovana! Amazing story and you’ve given me hope. My first baby was breeched (sitting) and I really would like to avoid another c-section. Can you give me some pointers on taking a stand or how to advocate for myself against these medical providers that try and push for a C-section? I wish I had been given more time by my doctor but that didn’t feel like the case. So, I’d love to avoid that happening again. Like you said, as a first time Mom you’ve got no clue, but now I’m aware of the possibilities! Thank you so much! 💞
Aww congrats! Cant wait to hear ❤ im due any week with my 3rd (im 37 weeks) so this is perfect timing. Ive had 2 natural births, my 2nd was an unintentional home birth. While id love a home birth, my insurance doesnt cover that 😢
what a beautiful story thank you for sharing!!! My questions are how much are midwife and doula services compared to going to a hospital? Is it covered by insurance?
My first born was natural birth 24 years later my second born was a programmed C Section only because my baby was bigger than expected to be. At 39 weeks my baby girl was breeched doctor told me that even if I wanted a natural birth it was a high risk of baby being strangled with her umbilical cord or even a very high risk of umbilical cord collapsing if they tried to flip my baby manually I was very scared and didn’t want to take the risk. At the time of my C section I had an ultrasound to see where my baby was they told me she was in position but either way it was better if I had a C section because baby was big and she could be stuck during birth time. It was the most traumatic experience I felt the whole operation I just remembered my doctor arguing with the anesthesiologist about how I wasn’t supposed to be feeling the surgery I came out from the operation room moving my legs nurses were surprised and telling me they felt sorry for what I went through I was discharged the next day with no apologies from the anesthesiologist or doctor. I cried for 3 months just remembering the traumatic experience in the operating room. I just thank God my baby girl is a very healthy girl she’s now 17 months old.
Can you post the Christian hypnobirth link? Very interested. Hearing your story is like hearing mine - except I’m still in my second pregnancy. Trying for the HBAC. I’m 41w tomorrow and have been in that “prodromal” or “pre” labor for a few weeks now. It’s really taking a hit to my mental health because I’ll go through like 12h of crampy contractions that make me think birth is imminent and then they just disappear. I JUST lost the huge portion of my mucus plug (been losing bits for months) and at my last cervical exam my midwife said I was 4cm with the stretch/sweep. I’m praying that my little boy shows up within the next day or so.
Wow! I got to the hospital feeling "some cramps" and when I got checked I was at 7 almost ready to push!! They got me ready immediately hahaha vb second baby!
Congratulations Yovana and Dorian on the birth of Amara! Glad you acknowledged how the Lord God helped you! Glad you accessed Christian apps! "With God all things are possible!" Yovana, I am so happy for you! Felicidades! Y que chula sus dos hijas: Amara y Collette! Que Dios les bendiga! 😘💕😇😇😇😇
I had 2 sections and they were easy breezy. Not worth risking my kids lives just to avoid slight discomfort. Just here to support section moms. It’s nothing to be scared of and the terror people associate with it is so over dramatic.
maybe easy breezy for you. But everyone is entitled to choose what they want for their own bodies. I had a planned c section too and I didn't think it was easy or the easy way out. It was hard to recover from major surgery while also caring for a newborn. Days after being discharged, I woke up to my PJ bottoms soaked in blood. I had pain around my incision for up to a year. Hell, I still feel achy around the area two years later! And not to mention you get pumped with a lot more drugs during a c section and that took a while to detox. My pregnancy carpel tunnel got worse due to the IV fluids and that made it hard to breastfeed for weeks. So yeah.... I don't think "easy breezy" is the case for everyone. And it's ignorant to think that your story applies to every one.
I would say that if you only have had csections you have no idea which experience is better. But I’m glad you had no complications, having to have complications really suck.
As long as that’s what you wanted is ok. I had an emergency c section that during the surgery was ok but I suffered violence from the professionals. So it really depends on each case. My mom had 3 c sections (planned) and she didn’t have the same issues I had, but now she understands it’s not the healthiest way to deliver babies. They cut literally 7 layers of your body she almost bled to death with her last birth. I don’t regret my c section, I do regret not having the resources to choose a better team to work with
I was following your pregnancy because i assumed you were due around nov 8 like me (just by following your posts). If you were 43+1 at 11/19, it means you were due around 10/28. Does that mean your pregnancy posts were weeks late?
If you have a similar story I would love to ready about it💖👇

I don’t know how you did it! It’s confirmed for me that I don’t want kids 😅 but I’m so happy for you. 💕

The most stupid comment on here… Your own personal experience is not the majority (coming from a c section mom myself )
I would say that if you only have had csections you have no idea which experience is better. But I’m glad you had no complications, having to have complications really suck.

Your experience is not everyone’s experience. Very narrow minded and harsh to comment this on her video
Que procedimientos tuviste que hacer para que te permitieran llegar a las 43 semanas, que dr encontraste que te apoyara?
Muchas felicidades !!!!
