I am so glad that you said breastfeeding shouldn't be painful! I left a comment on a different video for a first time mom, saying that if it hurts thats not normal and to seek external help to find out why. I was surprised that there were quite a few women saying that it just isn't true that breastfeeding doesn't hurt, and one even said its a myth that breastfeeding shouldn't hurt. I literally had to go on the internet and do more research to see if there was anything that said it was normal for it to hurt and I cant find anything saying that. All the information I can find says if it hurts, something is wrong, most likely with the latch. Its nice to hear someone else say that too! I am currently in my first trimester with my 3rd baby, its been 5 years since having my last one. This was nice to watch and refresh myself on all the things ❤.
Wow i never heard anyone say breastfeeding hurting is normal. Soreness the first few weeks is normal, any amount of pain is not. Sad that not everyone knows that
I've also never hear anyone saying pain with breastfeeding is normal. I agree that mild soreness in the beginning, especially with nips that aren't used to the suckle. But pain during is NOT normal. With my 3rd I was in severe pain and bleeding, it turned out she lad a lip and tongue tie. Which we decided not to revise.
as a lactation counselor and postpartum nurse i have to say that a lot of time it does hurt in the beginning but you are right in that it shouldn't. it usually just means the latch needs to be adjusted and education need s to be given on how to properly latch a baby (which most people don't know how to do, unfortunately and is prob where the misconception that "pain is normal" comes from) now some peoples nipples are super sensitive and there usually is a tugging sensation that is normal, for some women can be perceived as painful depending on the number of nerve endings in their nipples. So more education needs to go into learning how to assess the nipple after feeding to determine if the latch is actually off or not, ect. Breastfeeding is not a one size fits all but yes, if youre having pain and/or its accompanied by cracked/bleeding nipples, then you absolutely need to see a consultant. that is common but not normal
You’re killing it girl! My first and only is a few days short of 6mo and all I could do when I was pregnant was be pregnant lol I struggled! But you are absolutely rocking it! So excited for you and baby #2!! Praying for safe delivery ❤
I'm 35 weeks and only started getting things at 6 months hahaha. On one side I didn't want to get things I didn't need, so even now I'm very light on things. On the other side I was also too afraid of a loss and then having these things to remind me 😅 So now at 35 weeks I have a bedside bed, stroller 3in1, carryer, some clothes (4 to 5 outfits per size), burp cloths, diapers and wipes. That's it. 😂😂
Watching this as a second time mom at 34 weeks & gosh I thought I was the only one who was waiting this long to prepare this time around 😭🥹 but I’m starting to sloooow down at this point in pregnancy so I needed this video to tell me start getting stuff in order lol 😂🩶
I'm 34 weeks with #2 too and have so little done either! Have all the big stuff we need and clothes left over from number 1 but nothing actually organised. Except a couple freezer meals. Baby stuff is so disorganised!
Oh. My. Gosh. Currently pregnant with baby 3, but used that pink Peri bottle for my 2nd baby and got irritated at the water leaking and it moving so went back to the hospital peri bottle. 😂
Thank you!! You don’t “need” them but contrast cards/contrast toys are super good for newborns brain development! Plus it’s good for them to have “floor & tummy time” to help them stretch out and build their neck muscles☺️
I just truly enjoy that you’re incorporating how you prepare your body as well during your nesting ❤

Aw I’m so glad!!! Yes, it definitely shouldn’t hurt & if it does, there’s a latching issue! I wish everyone knew that❤️

@@beans4853 I know, I was totally floored tbh. I hope more women begin to realize that they don't have to suffer through to feed their child!
