Preach the Word, Module Four: Segment 2

Application needs to be rooted in the biblical text and sound hermeneutics. When it comes to application, the key aspect of the text that we need to search for is its intent or purpose.
We want to craft our sermons with that textual intent in mind. Scripture bears witness to Jesus. God desires for us to come to the knowledge of the Truth and be saved. But in specific texts, the particular intended actions in our lives can vary widely.
