  • This is the best upgrade I've done on this bike. I am heading out to do a few big rides and I need to be comfortable. Amazing how 33mm can add so much more comfort. I hope to add more comfort to the seat before I head out also.

      Absolutely. I have recently sold it though and I miss it already. I upgraded to a Concours 1400 (GTR1400). It’s such a beautiful bike. I’ll still miss the ZZR though.

      @hachewie Really easy installation, felt much more upright and less strain on my wrists! Just realised I bought the same brand as you as well. Can’t wait until the better weather comes to try them out on longer journeys :)

    Great job Chewie you are a master mechanic! I know that will be more comfortable for you. I had to laugh at the bath towel as I occasionally do the same and it drives Mrs 602 crazy!

    Risers are always a good upgrade imo Chewie. Not familiar with it on a sport bike but you did it well. Hope you enjoy the difference for the long term ✊👊👍

      It definitely helps with wrist and neck pain. I’m going to upgrade to a bigger bike though in a few months time.

    The bar risers look great and that will make a big diff being as tall as you are. My wife hates it when I take the bath towels into the garage never to be seen again. I like the caps, very nice. Love the sound of your ZZR.

      I returned this towel as it didn’t get any grease on it. 👍😉
      It really helped with neck and wrist pain. Did a two day ride on it. Short review this week.

    Good job mate, bike sounds solid I just love these zzr's had 2 zzr1100's when they came out silver then dark green one had kawi's all my life passed my.test.on kh250 at 17y back in early 80's now have zzr1400 p.s & h2 2015 but always wanted zzr600 but for some reason it never happened, still a great bike though, enjoy. P.s I got the moto cnc 20mm risers on the 14.

      Oh man I love the 14. I dream. I had to get a bigger bike so sold the 600 and had a GTR 1400. Sadly a wrote it off a few months ago. I now have a cruiser. 2008 Rocket 3. I miss my Kawasaki’s though. Best bikes in my opinion.

    Got the same bar risers on my 94 zzr600. Didn’t need to modify anything. The front brake line is a little bit of a concern though, but over a year on no issues.

      I thought the brake line may have been slightly short but I also had no issues. I wish I had done this mod years sooner.

    That's a very tidy kit amigo, very glad they worked out and were ok to put on :) You visually do look a lot more upright, funny how such a small chunk of metal can make such a difference :)

    Well done mate. I ordered riser for my bike last week. They are supposed to riser the bars 1” and provided a 1” pullback as well. I hope the cables can accommodate it. I’ll try to record it, but don’t have a tripod with me in Arizona. Ride safe mate.

    I would think it's the same deal if I ever needed to fit these to my ZX-14? ....not a hard job by the looks and this has given much food for thought......awesome to see how it's done.Just that amount changers how upright you are from the stock set up.....very cool.

      I watched a video on the zx14 to see if it was easy enough for me to do. There were no ZZR videos showing how to do it. Yep. They have them. Check your cables to make sure you have enough play.

      @@hachewie I will have to as I am thinking that they are just long enough in stock form so I think I would have to go longer...but this is a very good option as time rolls on because my back is far from the best . I am at this stage still okay on the 14 for trips however for how long? I don't know.

      Yes but bear in mind they differ from the zx14 to zx14 performance sport model plusses you can only go about 20mm p.s more on standard zx gen 2's

    Enjoyed watching the vid - a little shocked at the bird’s nest that had accumulated under your clip ons and I was also shocked on behalf of your good wife that you used the good bath towel - shame on you you dirty old man (steptoe and son reference there in case you missed it) haha Glad you are more comfortable on the bike and more upright.     you got lucky removing those 4 bolts. some clown at kawasaki put RED THREADLOCKER on all 4 of mine on my zx14r. i installed the longer ones with blue threadlocker. itll be perfectly fine.

    Have a 2002 zzr 600 will these fit it as I feel very hunched forward when on the bike I prefer upright position it looks like a big difference when there on just by watching the video instead of me installing renthal bars and riser’s I think these would be a better option 🇮🇪👍
