    On the lining out, stop working the outline from so many positions, use a longer brush (Someting like a Mack Virus etc) and let the line track itself further round the form, attempting to meet at natural juctions on letter ends or corners, keep up the great work, loving your enthusiam!

      Hey monster forge, thanks for your comment.
      Funnily enough the making of this video was the catalyst to me buying some outlining brushes. They should be here by Thursday, so I'm looking forward to testing them out on the next video.
      I was looking at the set for the venom brushes, they seemed great!

    Super clean! Classic font that is well executed!
    Looked like that outline on the uppercase G might get away from you but you brought it right back!
    Nice work man!
    I wish I could get more younger people involved in learning the art, but things have all gone digital and I guess they prefer the first marshmallow?
    Power and positive vibes!
    Thanks for the video.

      Hi Christopher,
      It really is a great typeface, the set itself has lots of variations too for messing around. Really was a lot of fun to work on.
      I have been noticing quite a few younger people learning the trade lately, which has been great too see.

      I'm very glad to hear that you are seeing some of the youth picking it up! That's great news! Keeping the art alive!
      Analog for life!
      Thanks again for the excellent content!

      Super clean really, look again, and quit cheapening the craft with lame comments.

    How do u sketch out your cursive so clean ?

      With this design I used the help of affinity Designer. Once I have the basic text down I can manipulate it and shape it. I do sketch some work on the channel, but with my older videos I was a little shy about my sketched work. 😅

    I know it’s two years later lol, but what brushes are you using in this particular video, thanks sheldon

      I'm just using some handovers synthetic brushes. They were okay, but I use real hair mostly now.

    How longs it have to dry between colors?

    • @theletterhead
      @theletterhead  Год назад

      Hi Chelsea,
      It really depends. As long at it is touch dry if the colours are touching. You can skip that if they aren't and your planning on outlining. I would always do outlining when everything is dry though

    Does the Ronan enamel paint behave differently on posterboard paper than glass or primed plywood ?

    • @theletterhead
      @theletterhead  2 года назад +1

      Hi Gordon,
      It's really different from glass, the coloured poster board has a certain amount of grain to it so it's not overly slidy. Does tend to make the paint go less far though.
      Some of the white coated papers are like glass, in that they glide a lot more.
      All kinds of posterboard are unforgiving however and are mostly unfixable if you mess it up. I just find them too easy to get, and store away when done 😅

    You should actually lay your shadow or 3D first. This way you don’t go over your lettering fill

      Yeah this font does a bit. Got a nice flow to it though so I don't mind too much.
