@@ruthron623 Wow. That's a tough one. There is so many options out there, but always take into consideration the weight. Many people go for looks, whereas I lean more toward low weight but also looks. Generally speaking light weight wheels are very expensive, up to $3000/set, but there are some that are about $1000/set. A lot of people believe that Enkei RPF1s are played out, and a lot of people believe they look good. I don't believe either, as they are intended to be lightweight above all else... and for how light they actually are, SUPER CHEAP! So, they are a good benchmark to compare other wheels to. For example 17x8 RPF1 weighs under 16lbs, yet will cost about $1000/set. That's ridiculously light, and very cheap. They look fine, in my eyes. From far away they look about 1" smaller than they are (17s look like 16s), but from close up that have a slight lip/dish to them, which looks good. Motegi's are also decently light, not as light as RPF1, but they are about as cheap. Some say they are the next RPF1s in popularity. I don't agree.
@@ruthron623 Not impressed. They don't seem concerned for how much their wheels weigh. I googled to find the weight, went to their site, and went to various sites... there is no weights anywhere. The side marker mod is actually illegal. "All vehicles in the US and Canada are required by DOT standards to have side marking lights and reflectors which are orange front and red rear." Most cops may not be that observant, but I wouldn't risk it for something that insignificant.
Is it weird I like the stock bulbs in the interior? Just so much more comforting then the bright surgery room lights

ZE40s look so good! I was eyeing a set of white ones recently.
@@KevinVo Get them! im going after Dark Diamond Gunmetal, once my Red GR86 lands.
@@KevinVo Update? staying with the whites?
Hey man, where can I find those bulbs at?

18's are definitely better in my opinion. Really love the video, do you think you could do more content on cheap/affordable mods on the gr86? I want to mod my gr86 too but I can't really afford to buy the more expensive items like wheels and exhaust right now, but still think it would be cool to make slight changes!
Absolutely! I'm balling on a budget too!!
Looks good, but 18’s for sure
That's the plan!
Phhhhtt 97 "steaming hot" where I live in TX it's 110 😅🤣
It's all relative! haha

I ordered the clear side markers from FTSpeed 10 weeks ago. Still waiting. Where are they???
I mean, you're not giving me much to go off of. I highly doubt if I search up Yu Tube in the system an order is going to pop up. I'd be happy to assist you if you gave me more details, but please keep in mind I just make the videos. I don't control how fast or when you receive your parts. I ordered these and had to wait as well.
@@KevinVo I'll send a (third) e-mail requesting status. And my credit card was charged 10 weeks ago. At least the website shows "Out of Stock" again.
Find me on Instagram @thekevinvo and message me you email or order number.
Bro where did you get the side panel?
Most of the new 86 owners had issues with 245-size tires. Seems like wheel wells are narrower in gen2 cars.
This gen certainly needs a bit less aggressive offsets for nice fitment.
Which exhaust do you have in this GR86???
In this video the car has the AWE Track Edition exhaust on there.
The side marker mod is actually illegal. "All vehicles in the US and Canada are required by DOT standards to have side marking lights and reflectors which are orange front and red rear." Most cops may not be that observant, but I wouldn't risk it for something that insignificant.
Bro my bulb socket went up in the hole, someone help 🥺🥺
I know I’m in the minority, but I like the amber side markers and halogen interior bulbs. However, I am disappointed with the halogen door lights
Whatever floats your boat! Car enthusiasts in Japan love USDM stuff. It's funny how that works.
Orange markers are mandated here that’s why every single new car has to have them on. Guess they don’t have the same rules in Japan?
do they have a 2020 version?
White rims reminds me of the nightmare of my GSX-R 600 having white rims. I like the rims. Go with 18s...
Thankfully my GSX-R had blue wheels haha
