Hey Alex thanks for all the really cool videos. I've watched everyone. which alcohol did you use to mix your Vanillin? I like the smell of warm vanilla bean. what can I do to achieve this smell? my ambroxan smells really great and it gets people attention even though most people are wearing masks. It's amazing!! how can I get in contact with you off line?

Hey! I'm glad you're enjoying my content. I used SDA 40B perfumers alcohol to dissolve my Ethyl Vanillin. Mixing other Vanilla notes will help you achieve a better vanilla bean. Castoreum balances really well with Ethyl Vanillin as well! I wish I could be more help but I haven't created a Vanilla Bean scent first hand.

Thanks bro. Do you think I could use this in an oil and waxed based lip balm recipe? I’m not sure it will dissolve fully but it might still add a good scent.

Synthetic Vanilla is usually a mixture of a few different chemicals including Vanillin and Ethyl Vanillin. I don't have an exact formula unfortunately.

Vanillin is technically Vanilla Powder by itself. Naturally sourced Vanillin is the crystals you find on Vanilla Bean pods.

How do you make them liquid if you do not want them to be diluted?

I haven't tried melting this down by itself, it's always been with other aroma chemicals. I'll lightly heat the mixture by dipping the vial with Vanillin inside into warm water while agitating the mixture. With that being said, this aroma is very strong so I'd recommend diluting it. You can try this with purely Ethyl Vanillin and see if it melts down the way you'd like, but I can't say for sure.

sorry, I want to ask, I'm still confused about the comparison, if we want to dilute it to 50%, what is the ratio between the grams of vanillin powder and the alcohol? please help

Can you use this as a single note perfume to layer with other perfumes? And if so, do i mix 8g of this with 91 g of ever clear?

I suppose you could. It's usually used as an enhancer within vanilla accords.

I am very new to this . How do i make a vanilla perfume and also a chocolate perfume?

It all comes down to experimenting with recipes and formula ratios. Purchase a few ingredients related to what you're trying to accomplish (In this case Vanilla and Chocolate). Things like Vanilla Absolute or EO, Vanillin AC, Ethyl Vanillin, Chocovan, Coumarin, Etc.. and start blending. It seems like you're after Gourmand EO or Aroma chemicals. Good luck!

I wear it as a single note. I love the smell. It’s an airy sweet vanilla scent, if you’re wanting something linear.

Does it have good longevity alone?

Absolutely! Although it works much better paired with other Vanilla notes. Castoreum is said to balance this scent as well.
