I don't make money moves, I make career moves. If you make career moves, they will earn you money sustainably. Prof Mamokgethi.
L ADVICE
What a quote
That’s my highlight ❤
💥
Lol
After this interview, hearing John Kani's voce saying "Welcome to black excelence" hits different 🤞🏽.
When Mac said fact checker looks like she is having an orgasm listening to Prof, I was feeling something similar, lol. This is another reminder that BLACK, INDEED IS POWERFUL. Well done P&C team 👏
🤞
I am telling you. The interview had just begun, jiki jiki we are at 1 hour 40 minutes
This black this, black that thing is getting boring!
@@sbonzama7013 stop listening then.
One comment from the Prof says as leaders or people of influence you should not irresponsibly say things because someone looks up to you out there. I like that. I love it. Don't be the only rep of black excellence. Build continuity through choices of words and actions.
She should be our new minister of education.. She's Young and has the education, unlike bo magogo that are shocking us daily
"Shocking us daily"😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
they are sending us to our graves very early those ones...
Nothing but the truth ke sana😂😂😂
We need another interview!!! We didn’t even scratch the surface! This lady is amazing!!!
SAY THAT AGAIN ‼️ and yes I'm screaming 😭😭
Please!!!
You need to say more, man I can listen to her at anytime
well she had an indept interview here: ruclips.net/video/X-3IEi_2oUY/видео.html
Please she’s incredible 😊🥳
This was the kind of episode that proved that Mac and Sol are broadcasters cause it was a proper "13PG" interview as no profanities were used except when Mac said "Fuck Adriaan/Basson". It seems like Mac and Sol behaves according to the guest's demeanor and I'm sure they're able to pick that up before they start recording. As for Prof she's well spoken and this is her interview where she didn't interrupt her interviewer often even her tone was cool, calm and collected cause at the other interview I've seen her she came across fierce. I think we must have her back one day as she's worth listening to.
Nah, she directed the convo
Prof MaMokgethi answers questions so well thought out, she is well a educated woman, gives me Jordan Peterson vibes. She chooses her words carefully, because she knows the affects.
Jordan Peterson , what a man!!!!
Beautiful soul and intelligent woman. We need more women like her in this world ❤
Prof is literally the woman she think she is. A very informative interview. This is by far the best interview so far. Black studio, keep it up and to Sol and MacG, blessings magents.
Frst time seeing MacG and Sol so focused on an interview 😂❤
So inspired by Prof❤❤
Did macG say "Prof lets use our brains for a second?" Amazing 😄😆😅
🤣🤣🤣 I was shocked
@@tammymboweni5980 😅I was shocked too,McG will shock you for real
You know what, that's our MacG.
@@patienceramawa632 that’s why we love him right?
🤣😂🤣😭
I was wondering if it’s just me cause it wasn’t making sure why the episode just ended like that. Thanks for the reupload!! 🎉🎉
Its sad that people might miss this interview because she's not a typical celebrity, but honestly this has been one of the best interviews on the podcast! Like what an amazing woman wow!!! So inspired!!
Aspiring celebrity. Loves fame and controversy and being the victim.
She is right, I joined UCT with no history of getting 50%,I was flowing on 90 - 100% from my undergrad Varsity, it was my first time getting a 50% when I was at UCT, it was then I realized that UCT is a real deal, studying there is really a day n night deal, but thanks God I made it afterwards.
Cap
What were you studying Sbusiso?
I studied a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree at University of Cape Town for 5 years. The lectures during my time were racist particularly there was one Indian his name was Prof. Marcus who was a pure racist. In my thesis was supervised by Prof. Tait who was the head of the department at my time he was very truthful in regards to my potential. I went on to secure a work through him with Prof. Benet assistance.
@@simisosenkosijele5342 How do you know they were racists?
They were not easily approachable and one time we had a problem with a question then decided to approach a lecture. He refused to help as he said we didn't set up an appointment but a white student went in without an appointment.Though after a student did share the solution with us.
This mama she's beautiful, happy, knowledgeable, fun, has sense of humor, well educated, you can tell she has lots of money 😅. What a true all rounder 😍😭
She made me wanna be better than I am now. I love her brains. ❤️❤️
Same❤
Right!! We miss such intervieww/talkd
I'm saving this for my kids
Prof Phakeng is a force to recon with, we still need her skills in our academia. Well done to what she has achieved thus far - pure black excellence!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
why did you re-upload?! Of all the interviews I've watched over the years this is probably my favorite one. I don't know her but in the next 2 hours i would have done my research! She made me wanna go back to school! Loved it, Loved her!!!!
Zwavhudi
Thanks Podcast team for enlightening us in the academia world. Even schoolers deal with similar issues we also face.
This episode just woke up the academic in me. Loved it.
He ndaaa ❤ I'm so privileged to be South African right now. This lady 😢 ndiproud yhoo
Oh my word. Prof Phakeng intimately understands the plight of black students at UCT. If you know the A-levels vs public school education struggle and the impact it has on your self esteem in first year, you have actually spoken to students
100%
Great episode, shout out to you Proff for endorsing Zimbabwe education and our maheu
Let me finish where i left off earlier ❤
I’d vote for her next year if she runs for presidency.
yeah right!!!!!....that is just all talk. She is not a politician and lets just leave her as an academic without bringing in the presidency
@@princessndlovu4869 no love, you don’t get to give me a final verdict. That was a hypothetical statement.
Gullible
We need Prof Zeblon VC for Wits next, this was one interesting episode
You guys should do more episodes with academic figures
S/o to Karabo Edgar Molelekoa...my friend called me to notify me that my favorite VC is on #PodcastAndChill... This lady is a super human being❤️ I'll continue giving her, her flowers whilst she's still alive.
Something shocked me on Thursday.. A security at our office park was busy watching this episode while I was waiting by the boom gate... Shock of my life that he watches Podcast and Chill 😳😳
I'm wondering why the shock
why were you shocked?
Why were you shocked?
Shocked ? Why ?
The part of the interview around University first year student experiences brings back memories. The playing field is never fair game, we are always chasing and working uphill. Always unprepared for academic battle…
There’s something about how McG conducts his interviews, I’ve watched Prof on different platforms, however this one is the most enjoyable!🎉👌🏽
Yes he is very good
Damn - I really hope to one day grow into my own and be so profound in my own strength and wisdom that I ooze so much strength, beauty and dignity as Prof❤ She is so mesmerizing and just amazing nje
You gotta give it to MacG, he's a brilliant and smart interviewer. He positions himself based on the interviewee.
This is the best episode of 2023. Very captivating and edutaining. Well done gents
Most of people with such titles and academic accolades live in their own world, but Prof Phakeng lives with people, with the understanding of the communities she serves...hence she could easily transcend from the picket line to the boardroom...wooow!! what a phenomenal human... thoroughly enjoyed this interview, cracking with laughter in between...🥰🥰🥰🙏🙏
This woman success is what South Africans should be inspiring to achieve
My mathematics teacher used to say to me "Look at mathematics as a language rather than a subject...." I still suck at it but you can never confuse me.... . So I had a great teacher 😊
Okay Prof is definitely the lady she think she is and yes they're afraid of her. Loved the episode and please she must come back. P&C team please invite her proper for our 1Milli, it will be special to share the moment with her, plus she's a vibe man, i love her.
Olden day parents sacrificed everything for children to go to school, everything came to a standstill for children to go to school! That was beautiful,we should copy that.
Dammnnnn💀💀💀, I like how diverse this show is continuously going, from entertainers to academics, everyone and everything that's beautiful and sustainable, much love from Zim 2023
I’m so glad the Prof called out Mac for rubbishing Maths. It’s not the first time he rubbishes educational is topics. The other day he said that informative content on the podcast is “boring”. Yerr I was so angry when he said that I stopped watching for months.
Just because you find something boring Mac it doesn’t mean everybody will see it that way.
.. .. A very cool episode .. .. Sol was behaving and focused yong!!!😂😂😂
Very quiet 😅
This lady was doing lectures every Sunday morning imagine the dedication
This was too short 😭😭😭 Proff is a breath of fresh air, beautiful and smart ❤️ she is a goat and she is amazing 😍😍😍
The first uploaded video was missing about 7 minutes towards the end , hence this re-uploadment
Prof is right. Honestly I never asked questions to the lecture coz of being scared. I relyed on my notes, library and YT.
😅so true..same here...was so participatory in Matric (actually from Grade 1) but was never comfortable to ask a single question during lectures at UP
Bathong what is Sol drinking from the kettle..hahahahha...Lovely episode .LOVED IT🥰🥰🥰
Cannot wait to read the book. Her analysis of social and cultural capital when one faces higher education resonated greatly with me. She needs to impart knowledge more.
Mac g it's about time to turn this podcast into FM poi🏁🤒
She's amazing 👏, glued till the end ! S/O to MacG, Sol and team for bringing this phenomenal woman
Prof just explained so well experiences we encounter as children from poor backgrounds adjusting in varsities, she has healed my wounds
Same here. I shed a tear because wow now it finally makes sense and we can stop beating ourselves up about it and feel like failures.
So true, we questioned our potential even though deep down you knew you were capable
I admired her while she was still at Unisa and I still do because she is that versatile and unapologetically inspiring.
This interview inspired me to pursue a PhD
This was such an amazing interview Mme Mokhethi is an embodiment of black excellence ❤❤❤
"They are all scared of you, don't be scared of them, whatever context you walk into, they are scared of you don't be scared of them and if you think that way, you'll have all the confidence to do anything that you want to do" 🔥🔥
-Prof Mamokgethi Phakeng.
A well-learned lady that one could look up to. Can we have Dr. Phophi on the podcast?
Please hle
First and foremost I just got my 6 months badge, feels good being a chiller good people...thank you for the team on inviting Proff Phakeng learned a lot today.
Prof its David and Goliath where Malcolm Gladwell make a statement about Ivy Leagues failing students
Love u Prof, u backed up my sister in Wisdom. She is internationally recognized now in Germany. Love u gal
Yes Avela is my girl! ❤
She took a R1m salary cut by moving from UNISA to UCT? That means UNISA pays handsomely🤔
Took me 4 attempts to watch this episode, I'm glad I made sure that I restarted it and gave it my full attention. What an inspirational and motivational lady, she makes her achievements feel so easy too, I love that and am inspired by that.
She should apply for University of Limpopo Vice chancellorship, we need someone like her to elevate historically black Universities!
I think after 29 may she's must be minister off high education.
The support that is bounced between Sol and Mac thas magical guys 🤞
...i want an episode where its the Chillers AND Popcorn and Cheese lol
@@darrennorton7442 popcorn and cheese is stupid
Minister of Higher Education that SA never had.
I cant stop watching this podcast ,words are not enough to explain the joy it brings to mu heart.Thank u Mac G ,Sol and the team Mme Mokhethi is de whole package.Very inspiring.keep up the good work.
This is an exceptionally conducted Interview
Congrats to both you Mac and Sol
This is what "not being the subject of the interview" really is about😉
The Professor is a smart human being, you can tell she's tough as well. Loved this interview 🔥🔥🔥
Everything about this woman... How she articulates herself, her reputation, her success in her career, everything she is, is everything I am inspired by.
UCT has lost 😢 here. This women she’s genuinely genies
I thought the episode was out already
It gotcut off during the premiere because loadshedding
It’s the last part ebingaphelele
The one uploaded earlier cuts at 1hr 35min and this must be the full one
If you don't know why it got reuploaded, your not the correct chiller.

Wow , I enjoyed this interview, Prof is a good example of a good amazing human being, it shows why her kids turned out to be good human beings, look how She had motherly Love for the Students , we just Love Prof Phakeng ❤️
I love her shem she is so easy and relatable for someone of her caliber
If she ran the country I strongly believe loadshedding wouldn't be a thing
Love her personality, humour and her intelligence of-course goes without saying! This was a pleasure to watch
The Episode was re-uploaded as this version is extended and complete.
Wow, Prof never disappoints. She always is intellectually insightful💥.... definitely has to come back.....💯
Finally am a paying member this warms my haert❤
The first episode cut off when the story was getting juicy 😢, when it stopped I thought my connection had a problem.
MacG you outdid yourself…👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿damn rhaaaaaa. Kunini 🍾🍾🍾💐💐💐💐💐💐My goodness I love her 😍
Can we have episode2 with her? I nominate her for minister of Education. Big Up Prof
Thoroughly enjoyed this interview 👏 it honestly changed my perception on education and how I could possibly thrive, I'm greatly motivated❤
Ish she got style, vibe, fashionable prof
She understand the youth n elders
She's accommodating both parties
Man, i love her
Keep it drilling Prof
When she said she heard sound in Garankuwa 😁 I guess I’m not the only who increase the volume to Max when I’m watching podcast 😂😂😂
😂😂😂kasi well represented dawg
I love how MacG calls Sol 😂 ‘Phenduka’ love that 🫶🏾
😂😂😂😂 "Phenduka ma dawg "😂😂😂😂
Yeah nah first year maths shocked many of us at varsity but the Zim students and add maths were flourishing
No we need PART 2.... It's a must guys!!!!
Part 2 please. This was a roller coaster 😂 she is full of wisdom shem. South Africa has an asset in her 🙏🙏
“It must be difficult for any man, especially African men, to live with a woman who is career driven when they’re not”
No man is threatened by a woman who can support themselves. It’s a welcome surprise.
African men have been supporting their wives educationally for decades. Taking the little they have to pay their tuition from basic education to tertiary level.
We recently had a case where a man shot his girlfriend. The guy took her to law school and when she graduated she decided to dump him coz he wasn’t educated.
Let’s not take the message from western feminists and preach it here where it’s irrelevant.
I just love this Mama ❤❤ i could listen to her over and over. After watching this episode i went to Sizwe's podcast and will check out others. She was so relaxed on Podcast and chill vs SMW podcast. 😅😅 She couldn't let go of the 3 years old😅.
Talk about black excellence ❤👩🎓
I've never seen Sol this quiet in an interview 😄
Madam must come back to tell us if the missing middle has been found or not, in her opinion. Also to talk research monetisation for unemployed youth graduates. uBobuya phela Mamzo, siyabonga ❤
This woman must be Minister of Higher education. She can do a better job than blade nzimande!
Yey besengithi Black studios why are you ending an episode like Slik Talk😂
Bruh 💀😭😂
NO man!!! What a powerhouse!!! Yhoo I genuinely feel like this lady has opened up soo many conversations and brought soo much insight to soo many economical and personal issues! No MacG, we need her again!! From financial freedom to actually rooting for yourself through it all!! This was needed and I didnt even know, God bless you guys man!!!🔥🔥🔥
hey, fact-checker is back. Great to hear her voice🎉🎉❤
Mac needs to read here and there. Doesn't have to be a book. Just general stuff. Mac doesn't even know what an ombudsman is 🤣🤣🤣
I love his ignorance though, it becomes teachable moment to many
Sometimes, I don't think it's ignorance. I believe that sometimes he does it so that it can be explained to everyone.
@Banele Ndlovu nah he knew fokol about ombudsman. He still knows fokol about it. You can tell. It wasn't even explained what an ombuds do.
Don't get me wrong, no one knows it all but man, ignorance is not bliss.
I also knew of the term 'ombudsman' before this episode, but I did not have an idea of what their role is, and I can tell you, from what was said on this episode, I now have a rough idea.
I like his ignorance because he does not leave it hanging. He asks so that he can have a better understanding, to the benefit of all the chillers who are also like me at times.
The ignorance in him is a benefit to us 🙌👌🏾🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
1:12:00 - 1:12:14 is my favorite part. I watched it 100 times
"A purpose driven life" is what she lives. "They are scared of you more than you are scared of them," yhuu this is definitely becoming my daily mantra. My entire spirit is revived after losing myself for years. The confidence, "NOT ARROGANCE," in that statement, is absolutely powerful. 💗❤🔥 I'm Inspired. #PodcastAndChill
Prof deserved a black coffee type of interview, you didn’t do justice to it Mac
John Kani 1 deserved that too
Losing views....you should've posted part two instead of removing the first one
It's called professionalism.
they are not losing views at all. The earlier views will still count
