@@arboristBlairGlenn Last one was as a communications technician for AT&T for 32 years. 1st 20 of that was in the long distance switching office and last ten was in a large computer center for AT&T, all downtown Oakland.
Great story Blair, half the time I’m here for the tree guidance, and the other times I’m here for the stories. Some of the old maps show a lot of wells on properties at the turn of the century. I wonder if your property was on any old maps. All the hens I’ve been around are terrified of powered tools and large objects. I’m glad you let them out to roam, they can get stressed pretty easily.

I’d hate to think predictions are correct in that we should expect increasingly severe weather to become the norm. Stay safe out there
I'm in Utah and we've had a heat wave for about 2 weeks, Triple digits just about every day, the hottest so far has been 105, Every body stay safe out there
I’ve seen those leaf galls on some young elm trees in my property, they were quite infested this spring but they seemed to have mostly disappeared by summer.

I will say, almost died at least five times in tree work alone. Then there is the motorcycle and rock climbing. I’m a solid 8 really close calls.
