Mate , Many thanks , I’m a Thailand/ Vietnam fan! Been many times to both , However never been to Phillipines, after watching yr videos I’m a FAN , u give a honest, earnest & home run opinion. Boracay looks right up my alley and absolutely love the beaches , the music , and English speaking ladies / visa options that the Phillipines offers . You have a good life. A lot of us here in America are envious. Keep making those videos. I am tempted to move there but i still have this yoke about mortgage payments and stuff stored in my garage that I haven’t used for decades. I’m getting rid of these material things slowly.
Glad to hear that you're happy living in the Philippines. Everyone is different have different expectations and requirements. After living there for a few years, I've moved on - it's not for me.
I definitely want to retire in the Visayas Jasper. Manila is not that bad, but it's too many people. I feel moving to Guam is a perfect transition for immigrating to the Philippines. Still part of the US, in that region and only four hours away.
Thanks for the vid man.... Love your perspective on the Country and the people. Where are you in Boracay? I haven't been there in years since I left for America as a kid.
My heart hurts. I know in my heart that the PH is the right place for me. I am so living in the wrong country. Just need to find a way to make it work financially for me. Highly skilled in leadership so looking for C-suite job over there
I prefer Thailand for comfort, things just working, things not being out of stock etc but..... I would 100% agree about the women there. You are 100x more likely to find a decent gf as a white guy Vs in Thailand and it's a different planet compared to the west. Have you lived in both?
I’ve been to Thailand, but I haven’t lived there, but I did spend three years with the Thai woman and I know I sent her sister I know her mother, I know her friends. You will get caught up in transactional or long con 99% chance in Thailand. Men 8000 miles from home for women things being out of stock or you know BGC comforts are not all that bad lol.
@@JasperinthePhilippines I've lived in Thailand since I was 23 and always say that the guys saying "I found a good one" here just haven't caught them yet.... You can still get bad girls in PH but you have infinitely better chances of finding a decent girl there... I need to try staying in places like Makati. I have never found a place there that I feel comfortable in long term, hence me watching PH RUclips videos to find new places.. Keep pumping the video's out!!
Man, kind of a lot of ground to cover if you’d like to book a consultation with me that’s probably the best way for me to really break it all down for you. My email is in my about section. 🫡
Yes 👍 The Philippines 🇵🇭 is better for Western men than for Western women. Western women cannot compete vs Filipinas in The Philippines in terms of dating. Indonesia 🇮🇩 not 👎 great for Christians ✝️: backlash 😈 over there. Same goes with Malaysia 🇲🇾 but at a lesser extent.
Jasper, what kind of savings did you have when you came to PH, and did you have an online or remote income before relocating? Did you work on learning Tagalog prior to going? Thanks again for your blog and information!
I've been in Cambodia for the past eight years and the people are wonderful. I still want to visit the Philippines because of the language factor, but Cambodian people are second to none in regards to being kind and friendly.
Man, that 100k in savings - I could use some deeper explanation on that, if you wouldn’t mind. After a divorce in my mid-40s, alimony and trying to recover finically with the plan to move to the Philippines and yes, hope to only need 2k + a month to live, I’m a little confused by this. And honestly a little defeated if the 100k in savings is really a deal breaker of sorts as that would push a move there to indefinitely, or to if at all. Thanks for all your content and all the work you put into it!
I mean, if you have guaranteed $2000, maybe you can pull it off but I would want to have at least 50. Just you might need to fly home. You might need to have the hospital things happen in life so
@@JasperinthePhilippines well once again you have given me something solid to think about and make actionable to save me a lot of money and time. Thanks!
@@MrpatrickhIf i were in your shoes id go for 20k in savings, something that could generate $2500/m income and a goal of $1500/m living expenses. With this setup the 20k is just there for an emergency and you have the satisfaction of saving an additional $1k usd a month. In a few years youll still hit 100k in saving. Could even upgrade your lifestyle based on savings milestones, for example bumping ur monthly spend to 2k/m once you hit the 50k mark. Theres just so many options with this including starting a business or investing. Best of luck!
Yeah, but that income is not guaranteed unless it’s like a military retirement check so I think 50 K is a much safer bet so then if your income turns out to be $500 a month you still get to stay for years if you budget correctly unless your income is set in stone I think it’s dangerous to come out here with what most people would spend in six months.
I have come to the conclusion phillipines is much better than thialand long term for various reasons like immigration buying property/bussiness thialand is a nightmare for that and the only place i would consider in thialand is phuket or bangkok thialand is also overrun with expat losers especially in the tourist citys and if your under 50 you are going to have a problem staying thier longterm
