How to change VW Polo 9N Brake Light Bulb

Detailed step by step process on how to change the rear brake light bulb in a 2001-2009 VW Polo 9N or 9N3.
This particular car is a 2007 VW Polo GTI 9N
The bulb is a 12v P21/5W bulb.

Same procedure to the video here. The fog light is in the right hand side rear cluster. Instead of the top bulb, you replace the bottom left in the bulb array.

@@xXANG3LICAXx The front foglights are pretty straightforward too. You can get whole replacement units (including bulbs) for about USD 20 each online. In the front bumper there will be a single screw (and a few clips) holding the plastic shroud around the foglights. Once removed the foglight units have three screws holding them, and can be switched in and out relatively easily. Someone will def have a video on it somewhere!

Only got the screw out can't get the light case out. Its like its glued or something lol

Don’t try to just pull it out. Grab it from the base and slowly pull it UP and out.
It will be released easily.

yep! careful when getting case out. i broke the bottom clip and i haven't even applied much force. but i pulled the case downwards

Bulbs at the end don’t match. Looks weird. Replace in pairs is best. Still an awesome video though. Very helpful.

Probably because he didn't replace the secondary taillight bulb. It was also fused. No idea why he didn't change it too.
