To be honest it makes more sense to keep it by brand. Many frags have multiple dominant notes and when you want to find something, looking by brand is faster and easier

Can you please do a series of reviews and comparisons categorized by the main note in the bottle? Ie. Vanilla perfumes, and compare 6 different Vanilla based perfumes. 😊❤
I hope you have a good insurance company because an army of fragheads knows now what a wonderful collection you've got (a samples counts as a fragrance). That's not a sea of samples - it's an ocean ! :)

I just organised my samples yesterday. A mixture of brand based and season based. It can be overwhelming. The brands I have many of I kept together, brands I have only 1 or 2 of I put in seasons. Samples I know well and may have purchased a bigger size of, I removed

The biggest problem I have with organizing my samples is figuring out how to classify them. Because some I want by house and some I’d prefer by note. And many of my unsniffed samples I do not know the notes. By note sounds more useful though especially after seeing you do it. I do tend to test by note and compare different fragrances that way. It’s a daunting task!
By note is useful to compare fragrances within a similar category. I’m learning a lot about certain notes in this way and it helps me understand why I’m drawn to particular scents or not
