But in that dimension the game takes place in there is some machine, or at least something controlled by a terminal, able to slow the process of destabilization down, if not halt it completely. Turning it off results in complete destabilization happening within minutes. Are there any equivalents or even ideas of something resembling that in the real world?

Huh, I do not remember that machine, but I may have never found it.
Either way, whatever machine it would be would have some futuristic tech based on physics we do not yet comprehend. It's possible that it was a machine that pulls energy from somewhere outside that dimension (like another dimension) which would help stabilize dimension VVVVVV, but it would basically be a death sentence for whatever dimension it's pulling from.

Lucky Egg Uhm, you can't really have missed it unless you didn't play the game all the way through. It's right at the end after you've rescued the last Crew Member. You get there, deactivate it, and then have to run for your life because everything destabilizes, which ends with you flying into outer space and getting beamed onto the ship. :v
      Other than that, huh. Interesting.

+Metaknightkirby2 Oh, right! I remember what you are talking about! But it didn't really completely destabilize the dimension completely, because Capt. Viridian and co. talk about staying to study a bit more at the very end.
I guess I just interpreted that sequence differently than you, or its been long enough since I beat it that I don't remember exactly how it went down. :/

I’ve never seen such an intense theory for VVVVVV

So, for those of you who haven't noticed, things are a little out of order and a little late...
Well, I have a perfectly valid excuse for that - Factory jobs are murderers of free time.
I also had a problem with my camera, and as such have not been able to record my first episode of Epoch: Files. That said, I should (hopefully) have Epoch Files out later this week and get back on track.
