Indeed. A flood of the most beautifully spun piano sound. What a perfect match for her. An astounding synergy/result. I must add, if I may: doesn't he look so much like Bill Gates?! LOL
@@vitellia Kevin won the Chopin competition in 1990 and is now on the faculty here in Miami at the Univ. of Miami, a dear friend of mine, he and Kyung played here during a Chopin Festival 2 years ago....
In this recital, KW Chung claims that she is one of the greatest violin player in the history . soulful yet dynamic , seductive yet gentle , and beautiful .
Kyung-hwa Chung is at this point a true MAESTRO of her instrument, beyond criticism, obviously. I am SO TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY by the pianist Kevin Kenner. I landed on this video because I'm working on the 1st movement--I am an amateur pianist, albeit properly trained--so I'm fully aware how exceedingly difficult it is, even just to get all the notes right, let alone to sound this lovely and carefree: simply PERFECTION!!! I've heard a few other recordings by better known pianists, ALL great, really, but this truly topples them all. BRAVO, BRAVA, BRAVISSIMI!!!
2 years ago they played this for us in person here in Miami FL during a festival held here -- Kevin is a dear friend for many years and he brought this fabulous violinist to us as most of us had never heard of her!!! we were totally amazed and grateful to hear this beautiful music...
@@arlenehathaway3076 So happy--and mighty jealous ^_^--that you got to experience them in person. Kyung-Hwa Chung has "been around" since the late 60's. She is THE forerunner of Anne Sofie Mutter as an internationally celebrated female violinist and the FIRST non-white classical performer who received an exclusive contract with a major classical label: Decca. She is DECADES ahead of Mitsko Uchida. Just look up her discoraphy with Decca, her "home label" and EMI; her collaborators include Sir Georg Solti, Andre Previn, and Radu Lupu and even Krystian Zimmerman, who collaborated with her on the Gramonphone Award-winning DG album of Respighi and R. Strauss sonatas.
Yesterday I prepared a concert with a pianist and we were both sight reading our parts and the pianist was astonishingly good for a 20 years old dude... still amazed
Les festivités exquises du violon qui étudient la passion et la beauté de Kyung-Wha Chung et le romantisme soutenu par la mécanique solide de Kevin Kenner sont merveilleuses. C'est une très belle performance!
Don’t forget how extraordinary the pianist, Kevin Kenner, is here! 🌟

Nathan Haboush Too fast? Really?
