I wonder how much Gordon Murray's one in silver with the unique mirrors would fetch? Add the LM wheels and the carbon brakes McLaren can now equip it with (Murray always intended it to have carbon brakes) and you would have my ultimate unicorn car.
Lol overpriced. It's just a BMW V12 bolted to an incredibly light body. But then again the British have a habit of overrating everything they build. I'd rather have an F40 which cost about 20 million less and sounds better.
Even then he said better lights, slimmer scoop and get the fans sorted properly. All this time later and he still wouldn't change much. People forget the F1 was a fan car.

What I believe the t.50 will have to live up to are things like being a Le Man winner on the 1st year, holding the fastest record for years before technology caught up, being limited bec. of circumstance not by design and other intangibles that makes the F1 legendary.

I can't wait for the T50 - even though I can't afford one! Gordon Murray is a genius and understands the joy of driving. The performance this car achieved was a by product of the engineering and attention to detail. For those who say "but such and such is faster", really can't be petrol heads, as they don't understand the joy of driving.

Saw one in Keswick Britain. Parked in a bad street for 3 days outside my house. Turns out the guy was just there to drive mountain back roads, tried my hardest to get a ride but only managed to sit in it :( . There were a McLaren SLR and a 356 also. Great view while doing the dishes :)
Timeless, incredibly good looking car. If simulators are anything to go by, Gordon Murray definitely knows how to make a car handle well too. It can only be beaten by the GMA T50.

The best street sports car ever built. It has up to 2 small trunks on both sides. What a compact chassis design, right off the Mr. Murray drawing board with the cockpit in the center. And the engine, a true feat of BMW engineering. The new T50 promises with that aerodynamic vacuum cleaner as a novelty, but you can see your inspiration in this model
3:49 pretty good statement. McLaren F1 was desinged to driven by worthy drivers to understand true greatness of it. It didn`t gave you the control over car easly. This is one of the things that made it so beautiful. You had to fight with it for gaining control. Something like Bugatti Veyron would give you the control but steals the action. This is why Carrera GT was loved that much despite considered as most dangerous production car.

I remember when there was a Maclaren showroom in marble Arch London back in the eighties and going into the showroom and asked how much is it, and the salesman said from what i can remember was around £400,000, and it was in a nice silver grey colour. Those were the days.

On the front cover was the McLaren F1 never heard of it, I read all about it and it's one of the fond memories I have and a little push twords my LOVE fo cars

Meanwhile, F1 only has a 6.1L V12 engine without a single turbo or a single supercharger making 627 PS. The F1 literally has 4 less turbos and 4 less cylinders. It took Bugatti over a decade to beat the F1 and they needed too many things to beat the F1

This is exactley the same thing as my wife hating our Land Rover Defender... the deeper you get into driving skills, the vehicles actual ability and purpose the more you love it. If not you just feel excluded (as those journalists lacking ability to get on top of this machine) Tiff is a racing car driver and he has what it takes. More normal people would probably have a hard time appreciate all that passion, engineering and brilliance put in to this car. If you have your mind set on a nice and peaceful sunday ride on your neighbours kind old horse, you would get pretty disappointed, scared and turned off if instead being put on a young racing stallion.
