Nicole really hits the groove toward the end...awesome playing, no wonder she has a big smile and the crowd really loves it. When the music, the players and the audience all connect like this , it doesn't get any better. 👍

Wow..that was REALLY FUCKING GOOD... Innovative..I the fact the do alot orignal stuff and what spin this was...!! Apache and WIPE OUT combined... Mind blowing The Billy Strings of SURF
Besides The Surfrajettes, I actually also saw both Roger Waters' "This Is Not A Drill" tour and Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets' "Echoes" tour this year (2022) as well. I posted some of Saucerful's version of STCFTHOTS (with Lee Harris playing the iconic Roger Waters bass-guitar riff on his Stratocaster, while Guy Pratt sang lead vocals and refrained ftom playing bass whilst singing) on Instagram.😉
They were only a short walk from me. But I am physically impaired now, even they are my current favorite band, I had to pass it up. On Spotify, The Surfrajettes are TRULY MIND BEDDING!!!!!!! I appreciate the peek see!
@@acidgroove101 Thanks for being there for me. I hear the place is small and packed. It would have been hard for me. Their Studio work is incredible. Get the Albums. Ever hear of Foreigner? They were my favorite Band back then. They played a secret 1 time performance at the 'Docks' in Toronto. (An Adult Park). I was welcome to stay and see the Concert for free. I couldn't because I was there all day installing CCTV outdoor cameras using ladders alone and by 6PM, I was totally burned out and had to go home. I think all my work got ripped out anyway.
I don't know the whole story, but Sam has drummed with them before, a few years ago. I really enjoy her drumming, not just in this band, but in Dart Mouth as well.😉
Anna Liebel left mid 2021, fans weren't told why but having a baby may have been a factor. The Surfrajettes hired Dani Nash to play drums on Roller Fink and late last year Sam returned full time.
I don’t know about other drummers, but Sam has many other commitments here in Toronto, one of the chief ones being her main musical endeavour as half of the Kali Horse core, along with Desiree (wherein Sam mainly co-writes the songs, plays guitar and sings). Therefore, she cannot commit to The Surfrajettes rigorous touring schedule, and I guess Sam was not available when they recorded the album. But I don’t know the circumstances surrounding the recordings.🤷🏻♂️

As Chrisst commented, the song is "Salty Sister". It's the fifth track on their 2022 "Roller Fink" album, on which Sam unfortunately does not play the drums. As has been mentioned, it shows influences from other songs, but I believe it's an original. The album's pretty cool, even without Sam's drumming.😉😎
It's a bit tricky, with Sam, like so many other Toronto musicians, having so many things on the go in Toronto while The Surfrajettes are touring pretty heavily. Drummers and bass players seem to get shuffled around a lot in Toronto bands. It's a pity that Sam couldn't be on the record.
