I have a hp pavilion slim line and has the same issue but it is on Windows Vista Home premium and I’ve tried all these steps and it hasn’t worked. Awhile back my PC got a blue screen with the good ol' ":-(" fronting the error message. As it was awhile ago I cannot remember the exact error message whether it was memory failure etc. However: The graphics card was a new GTX 1060 (which works in my new pc), the RAM was 2x8GB (very unlikely both failed), the PSU was a new 500W EVGA (which works in my new pc), the monitor is a samsung (which works with my new pc). I completely stripped my old pc and reseated everything to ensure that it was not a loose connection. It was not after a recent windows update, and the new upgraded components had been in the machine for a good few months without any issues. I was running on a i5 4460. I believe that none of the recommended steps in this tutorial worked as all the components that this video suggests could be faulty work absoloutely fine. The only piece of hardware that I believe it may possibly be would be the HDD or CPU, the computer powers on fine however the main cpu fan starts to kick up a fuss after a few seconds and the computer will not post on the monitor.

I've tried literally everything, no matter what I do, the display won't show up and my peripherals aren't getting any power. I made sure my monitor and cable was fine, so it has to be my computer. There were 4 beeps when I first realized there was something wrong, so I unplugged and plugged in my ram. After that the display turned on only to display an error about the BIOS, so I reset the CMOS I don't know how many times by now. Still nothing. Then I did the entire troubleshooting process a few times, I still didn't get anything. I have come to the (hopefully wrong) conclusion that my motherboard is just messed up. If anyone can shed any bit of knowledge it would be greatly.

Hello, Im having some problems with my Windows 10 HP Desktop. I turn on the pc and I hear the fan and see lights on my CPU, but my desktop turns on for a while then turns off after a couple of minutes. The power button of the desktop lights up so i know its turned on. I tried turning the desktop power button off and on, it works for like 4 seconds then turns off again.

The first thing you should do is look at the cable, not however many steps until you get to it. If a cable is damaged, as you suggest. bent pins, ect, that is the first fix not a lot of steps later!

Try removing the ram and replug it again maybe in a diffirent spot, this solved most of my pc problems including this one.

Hello, Im having some problems with my Windows 10 HP Desktop. I turn on the pc and I hear the fan and see lights on my CPU, but my desktop turns on for a while then turns off after a couple of minutes. The power button of the desktop lights up so i know its turned on. I tried turning the desktop power button off and on, it works for like 4 seconds then turns off again.

Many thanks. All I needed to do was unplug the power as instructed. After 30 seconds the computer booted up fine and the monitor functions!!!! Thanks 😁

Okay so i dont have any spare monitors, i was using my tv as one (with HDMI) sadly i did everything i could from the video and i still got that blank screen

Thank you. The turning off the computer and disconnecting everything but the monitor, keyboard and mouse worked. I have 2 monitors and it only happened with one but it acted like it was still on which was odd. Anyway thank you so much

I always had a problem with the monitor not turning on. I have my pc for 8 years. But this time is different. It turned on for 2 times and after an hour the screen froze and made a disturbing sound I opened I cleaned I tried the cables thing. Nothing works. Is either service or a new pc. Any advice you can give me please?

I fell asleep
I still don't get it nothing works, when I turn on my monitors they come on fine but then i turn on my pc and one shows a red light but one stays on and my keyboard and mouse don't light up like normal. My pc also won't turn off w the power or reset button so idk what to do. Also I wasn't doing anything when this started, I was editing a video and my monitors faded black but my pc stayed on and then this happened if ANYONE knows what to do PLEASE tell me idk what to do

I searched for any broken wires and I can't find any, I tried taking out cmos battery and putting it back in like 3 minutes it doesn't work I also tried cleaning ram and changing it around but it doesn't work and also when this happened my computer was crashing constantly does anyone know what I should do

The first thing you should do is look at the cable, not however many steps until you get to it.
If a cable is damaged, as you suggest. bent pins, ect, that is the first fix not a lot of steps later!
