Hi Billy, great fun isn't it! The fuel is fed from the iv bag hanging from the garage door, 25:1 petroil mix. There is a cam operated fuel pump visible on the side of the motor so you could use a same level fuel tank. Ignition is built-in mag dyno like you'll find in older lawn mowers and British bikes. I took it to bits, cleaned the points, reset to 25 thou and it works just fine. There are two wires coming from the motor, one fairly thick HT goes to the spark plug cap, the other is a simple earth wire that you touch to the body of the motor to earth out the ignition to stop the motor. Not quite an off switch, but does just that.
All the specs and diagrams are on-line for maintenance and reference.
    Bye R

I have one but dont seem to have spark. Also there is a black and a yellow wire with plug lead. Do u have any parts?

Hi Craig, sorry no spare parts.
The extra wire at the spark plug could be the earthing wire to short the magneto to stop the motor running. If you have no spark, it may be that that wire is touching the casing! Let me know if that's helpful.

Where did you find one of those sachs engines been looking for so long

In my dad's cellar, Scotti, in Cardiff Wales. He bought it 20-30 years ago in a primitive jet-ski. He tried to get it to work, but between him n his brother, they damaged the bearing carrier to prop-shaft connection. I do have the prop shaft. Funnily enough, there was one from the same small water craft on e bay UK last month. Sadly, the boat hull was taken from his garden one night, so this motor will not be hitting the water again. The casings were badly corroded with that ally white powder which lifted the original vermilion colour, so I had them bead blasted and repainted them lovely machinery light green.
I left the crankcases together as the motor turned over nicely and just cleaned the carb and reset the magneto timing and there you see her running. A thing of beauty and a little homage to my dad. Regards,
      Rob Barry

I picked one of ebay a few years back for £100 ... The seller was not particularly happy how little it went for :)
I got the KM-37, which is 110cc version, and was originally a generator off a military Cymbeline radar unit.
      Fun little projects!

@@njones420 A bargain! Was it just the motor or was there more attached. Like the reduction gearbox or drive belt flywheel etc. Any pics. Oh, and where is it now? R B

Hi Dies, well, I don't really have any plans for this little beauty but me n it are in UK so not very convenient for you....and did I see California as your address? That's another 3000 miles. Lol.
I tell myself that it's in good condition and fairly rare. Is £1000 too much to ask, that would pay my next electricity bill!
The motor was in a small water craft a precursor to modern jet-skis fibreglass body, motorcycle styling aquaplaning body, but only 10hp to propel it. What would you expect to do with it?
I don't mind if you aren't serious about purchasing it, I'm not sure I need to sell either, I just like it! These and any engines are just mobile engineering.
