Sorry about the audio, only the left channel worked. It will be fixed for the next video I promise!
No problem!

"... making the swimming more effortless." that is just like when in a movie they mention the title!, love it!! It's great how this vid summarizes and reinforces multiple important points for a good form.
Great stuff mate. I’ve improved a lot by watching all your videos quite for some time. ❤
A and B leg coordination methods is great coaching communication!
B method is entry + opposite foot kick at 15:51…try lying on the floor in streamline. Without moving any body parts, roll over to one side…feet tight together, no cheating. Very hard to stop torso from twisting.
Now allow yourself to cheat…one foot naturally pushes your same side hip up (feel the hard floor “push” on the top of the foot like very tight shoes) then the body rocks & rolls to the other side. The floor provides resistance feedback and awareness that’s not as easy to feel in the water. Now try adding stroke recover and entry (= reach forward placing hand flat on the floor) with opposite arm, coordinated with push into the floor with the top of the foot.
A good down kick exactly timed at the opposite hand entry (not catch) emphasizes and assist the body rotation.
Nice looking in that swimming suite. Kicking like crazy.
Excellent video and very clear explanation! Thanks, Brenton!
Thats a beasty Kick she has!
Great content and explanations!
Mesmerizing to watch. So beautiful.
Hi, one of your very best, thanks
Your videos are great!
could you make a video on how to smoothly switch between: treading, crawl, back?
The feet, knees and hips are all involved in kicking, but where is the initial power generated? Is it the hip, with everything else following?
Hey Brenton, when are you coming back to Newcastle/Charlestown?
What a powerful kick!
its difficult believe thats a 10k kick
Great video, Brenton. One thing that struck me is how Sharon’s entry is at the apex of her catch. i.e. the power diamond shape. This seems to contradict the concept of front quadrant swimming - something I’ve been trying hard to drill in. Are there scenarios where FQS may not be suited? Would adding FQS to this technique make it even better?
Thanks again for all the content. It’s unmatched.
that's still front quadrant though, if you look at the above water view and go through it slowly, you'll see there is always something in front of her head
@@EffortlessSwimming thanks for the reply. It seems I misunderstood front quadrant 😅 To be a little more specific, it’s strikes me as a late entry compared to, say, your vid on Solomon Wright who is entering sooner at the ‘M’ of the YMCA. Is there an optimal timing or is it down to personal preference?
@@mybakingtray depends what suits your style really. When one hand enters, other hand should be anywhere from the M (catch position) to just past the C (power diamond). Thats the range I look for
@@EffortlessSwimming Got it. Thanks Brenton. Really enjoying the program and the variety it’s brought to my pool sessions 👌
Perfect freestyle. Ahhh..the dream…
I’m curious. I’m doing a two beat kick and I’ve tried both right arm pull and right leg kicking down and the opposite (R arm & L leg).
When both arm and leg on the same side are engaged it feels like you are getting more resistance in the water when you kick.
In essence your leg kick is counteracting the movement of your hips.
When you do the opposite it feels like your kick effort is mitigated by the movement of your hips.
And yet my lap times appear similar if not slightly faster when I do opposite limbs.
Which is technically faster and why?
I wish I had a kick like that!
Hola.
Saludos.
Thanks
🤜🏻
she has that body line for sure... bro is studying it thoroughly
😂😂😂😂 she’s hot i’ll just be the one to say it 😂
rhythm - double h
Brenton, sound only through left speaker.
yeah, this is the second video I watch with the same issue.
Bummer. Will make sure it’s fixed next time
I just hat my kick and seems like a waste of energy and I for the most part just drag them with slight lick just for the rhythm
beautiful kicking...
Does she use a 6 beat kick for the whole 10k?
only audio through left ear
I think her arm is much deep in the water while achieving the catch.
High elbow catch seems like a misleading term. Shouldn’t it be forward elbow catch?
It's all relative to orientation :D I was confused as well.
La piscina No bimo
She doesn't have one hand always in front of her head.
@Effortless Swimming can you address this? I swim like the woman in the video and I always get confused
Simple mistakes can cost the swimmer his delay and the development of his record🏊♂️
Sound not working on this vid, may need to reupload
Sounds not working properly
Only getting the left channel from the mic, background music in the into in stereo, last couple of videos have been like this, left audio only for me
A bit more sharp would be better
please always take viesws in front
This is way more effort than necessary. If she was swimming against guys with equal muscle power and stamina, she'd be dead last. Her technique is pretty rotten, in fact, but then again Ledecky ther female legend swims almost without legkicks. Just goes to show how different females are made, mostly from testosterone levels
Smartass comment of the year! Congrats!
@@mclekrell Getting lonely?
Thanks
Thank you!
