Something I've never inquired about: how long between each pepper do they have? On the video it seems like merely seconds, but I assume they get a minute or two?
It's a good question. The video edit does make it seem quick but there is a short lag between rounds. We don't keep the contestants waiting but it's certainly not seconds!

I tell you a secret , use hot water to drink to get rid of the spiciness quicker. It will burn like hell for a second but you will decrease the spiciness by 90% straight away. If you use the hot water to wish and wosh it in your mouth that will help drastically as well but will be even more painful for 2 seconds but will decrease by 95% - tell me how you go, because I do this all the time and I’m a chilli eater ps- the hotter the water the better it will work

I can't read her name card but that lady not only didn't finish her peppers ( I saw meat on the stems still ) , she gave up too early as I bet the next round would have been 'The Intimidator' which is a HUGE pepper but with no heat.
I never eat The Intimidator but I think it doesn't give you a good appetite given the heat built up in the mouth and stomach.
