Prob didn't have the budget to afford both SMG and Reese. Two higher profile actresses can be expensive 🤷♂️

This would work now as Netflix show in the vein of ‘Cobra Kai’ 😁

@@EdwinMon1986 Okay, that statement is a bit false because Reese isn’t just a big movie star, she’s been in tv shows recently like The Morning Show, Little Fires Everywhere, Big Little Lies, and so on. I think she might be down for it if given the opportunity, a good script, and more.
Easily the most nostalgic reboot of any TV series so far, and we didn’t even get to see it... 💔

I wanted to hate this idea, but that song is so good. Nostalgia just overwhelms my skepticism.
I do hope they try to do the show again, and put it on a service where they aren’t limited by cable censorship, though I really don’t rememberers any nudity from the film, just SMG being naughty. 🤗
How this should be ICONIC just like the movie. I remember how waiting this series and they cut. But why!?
Netflix, Hulu or any streaming service should take this show.. this is much better than CW's Dynasty

Great tie-in to the original movie. I am sorry that Reese Witherspoon could not reprise her role as Annette Hargrove, though.
They could have had her and had her real life daughter playing their kid in movie instead of having actor play their son because Reese was pregnant with her after movie was done

OH MY GOSH. Just watched the unaired pilot. This has alot of potential. If not for SMG reprising the roll it would not be Cruel Intentions.
Hope this gets picked up sometime. Some networks need to cancel some bubble gum shows to get this going. again.
Only negative is they used some tag lines and dialog from the original movie as well as sound track, to me this felt like they crammed too much into the pilot, to get a green light or should i say get that Cruel feeling from the original as the rest of cast members are ok. Other than that this could have been a really great show with alot of cliffhangers wanting more. Fingers crossed. For the fans always want what you cant have.

I had no idea they wanted to do that and bow I really wanna someone to do it... Ofcourse would be amazing to have some of thw original actors but even without them - I feel if they would keep the original feeling of the movie into series it would be AMAZING.

He does have it but he knows only Katherine knew him better than anyone.
This infuriates me as I've just managed to download and watch the whole pilot and it's very very good! It's really well done...high production values, good acting and it follows on directly from the movie! It had great potential and wud have made a brilliant series! It obviously wasn't dropped because it was poor quality but a lack of commitment from the network! U watch it and end up itching to see more and it's maddening something this high quality has been shelved....raging!! Can't understand it at all...🤨

It would be amazing to watch it...Why????
Should have left out Reese’s character the first season and alluded to her return in the end. This would have almost made it certain to be picked up. But also this is not an NBC product it needed to go to Hulu or Netflix, Amazon or HBO, but got the CW treatment instead… in needed to be gritty, seductive, glamorous and dark. All of the things NBC is not. Too bad though ‘c great potential for a story to return to that universe.
