    I am an avid hiker and prefer to hike alone because most other people have the inability to just be quiet and listen and observe. But I do have one good friend who I prefer as a hiking companion because we can both chill and enjoy being in nature without saying a word to each other.

    Being antisocial is a trait of intelligence in a world full of conformist. Just because you're alone doesn't mean that you are lonely.

      @heavenlypath1065 but can you ever truly be alone?
      Solitude isn't that bad but you gotta have a certain special something to do it well.
      For most people being truly alone is literally impossible. Its more of a state of mind than anything else.

      Antisocial and asocial have vastly different meanings and thus negates your statement, unless you are truly psychopathic?

    • @brandonwilliams9560
      @brandonwilliams9560 2 месяца назад +1

      @@MisterMeow-vt8kl Antisocial also means not being sociable.

    • @MisterMeow-vt8kl
      @MisterMeow-vt8kl 2 месяца назад +1

      Anti means against. A ‘spiritual’ person would not be against anything. Is that not dualism? Furthermore the definition is overall negative.
      If we are on the spiritual path do we not try to inform each other? This was not an attack upon yourself. Words have power and influence.

    Actually interesting for me too as I’ve been studying western philosophy and have drawn many parallels to what I’m finding in Vedanta and Buddhism.
    Socrates famously posited that he knows nothing.That level of humility is rare but I think necessary if we want to gain any sort of wisdom or insight.

    Your practice should look like no other. There are no scriptures. There are no commandments. It is the result of your set of experiences, and what you make of them.. -Mystic teaching. That doesn't leave much room to judge the practice of another.
    Thank you! Great job. 🕉️💜😊

    Relative to each other, perhaps levels of awareness are like levels of school. Of course, a 12th grader will have more knowledge and understanding than a 1st grader. But how silly it would be for a 12th grader to look down upon a 1st grader because they are in 1st grade. After all, the 12th grader was once a 1st grader.

    The Navajo or Dine` have teachings from the holy people that describes a state identical to a Buddha. Its described as someone having dominion over thought within them. This reveals a mind that is stilled knowingly and recognizes the emotion tied to images as well which leaves way for freedom from the input of our mind without getting enmeshed.

    Now I see Family, friends running after unimportant things, all their lives. Very invested in Maya. I used😅 to also, not anymore. Can't really connect with them like before. And it feels lonely. When they ask why I just live simply I can't really explain to them. I know they won't understand why I'm no longer interested in the rat race, status and competition. And so sometimes during convo I just pretend that I'm interested 😄

    But the strange thing is, the abusers feel abused. So, what to do? How to be humble to them? And can I not easily lie to myself, when telling myself that I have the holy grail inside? It's a really difficult topic! But yeah, ultimately, you can only leave them alone, I guess.

    Talk for the sake of talking, people need guides, not interpretation, in the middle ages when folks could not read or write, organised religion took advantage and psychologically bullied and scared their ways into the human psyche, built " sacred spaces ', and read and interpreted how and what they saw fit an pertanant to the current times, they could have said anything at all, an frankly they made a spiritual teaching from a lovely book and bastardisesd it, and so was born the reverend and interpretation, nevertheless this is history, don't take someone's word even if they've earned it, try find out in ones own experience or look first if you can, be well ❤
