  • Join me as I give the Elephant's Trunk Flea Market in New Milford, Connecticut another go. The first time I went was on opening day in April 2022 and it was cold and raining. This time it was hot, humid and the sun was beating down! Let's see what I can find on this beautiful day!
    If you like this video, please give me a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel if you haven't already done so. Thanks in advance!

      I understand, but I don't know what you want to look at. Therefore, I look at what I find interesting and I can only hope that you also find it interesting. Thanks for watching though.

      That's what makes making flea market videos so difficult. Everyone is interested in different things. I just figure I'll look at what interests me and at least some of the viewers will find it interesting too. Thanks for watching!

    Ohh and an easy quick way to determine if the Boston Terrier Hubley door stop is original or not is by the seam and screws....modern screw with less then smooth edges on repops

    • @fleabittenadventures
      @fleabittenadventures  Год назад

      Good to know! I see so many of them that I just assume they are all repros. Thanks for watching!

      So are the seams on original - geniunely smooth and tight as opposed to repro which are uneven with big gaps?

      I'm sure there are plenty of real vintage Boston Terrier statues / door stops out there. However, I see so many of them at flea markets that are identical that I'm fairly certain most of them are reproductions. I could be wrong though. Thanks for watching!

    Tom it might be out of your price range- but getting the price for US will educate those who are interested in those things. Especially big old vintage Signs and toys from the 20s 30s even if you read out the prices of things you see please!

    13:16 These are a bit of a "warehouse find" going back to the 1980s . They are vintage and all BUT all the collectors already have them. P.S. Howdy Doody collectors are getting UP THERE in years now. It does NOT bring the money that it used to. Same goes for old cowboys like Roy Rogers and Hopalong Cassidy. The only 1950s stuff that fetches BIG money is robots and tin toys in the boxes. ALSO Home decor from the 1950s is HOT with younger people who were not born until 1989.

They are EVERYWHERE ! Yes they are old but ; who wants them ? It's a battery tester. And it's W.C. Fields, not Boba Fett !

    39:47 OK- here's the deal. If you are set up at a FLEA MARKET - you'd better have "reasonable prices". And even if you're NOT gonna have reasonable prices - and you wanna amp it up to "collectors" prices....PUT A DAMN PRICE TAG on the ITEM so we don't have to get into a LONG B.S. conversation of the damn face-hugger . Just put a tag on it. People will read it and move on. Or maybe buy it. We don't want a long story .
