    People please remember the older touchdowns like Daynes aren't easy to find so that is why they aren't on this list.

      Try to find the 'bounce pass' .... Al Toon to Jeff Nault against Illinois at Camp Randall- 1982! Alas, we lost that game. However, I got my picture taken with US Senator Bill Proxmire while wearing my "Eat Shit Flatlanders" t-shirt!! Champaign, Illinois: keeping nasty girls out of Wisconsin since 1867!

    David Gilreath's return of the opening kickoff against then #1 OSU was monumental. List has some great ones, but missing a lot of Ron Dayne moments imo. Still a good list tho.

    Gilreath return- lived 2 blocks off Monona Bay, we had just gotten home from errands around town, and as I'm headed inside to turn on the game, this huge wave of sound carried across the water from the stadium, and I'm like WTFFF?? Tuned in just as the replay came up. Unbelievable.

  • @HHopebringer

    Nick Toon had a pretty crazy touchdown reception where he made a big catch despite massive pass interference by a Michigan DB in 09.
    Jeff Duckworth's crazy catch against MSU in the title game and Montee Ball's TD's to close the 11 regular season are pretty good too.

    I know this is ancient, but UW hit a screen pass for about a 70 yard touchdown in 1981 victory over Michigan, and not sure of the year (circa 1980's), but UW was losing at Purdue with less than a minute left and blocked a punt for a touchdown. I think Jim Melka recovered and took it in for six.

    • @jmweed1861
      @jmweed1861 4 года назад

      Not acient History, The screen Pass went from QB Jess Cole to Johnnatan Williams as Wisonsin beat Number #1 Michagan the first game of the 1981 Season. (PS- they beat Minnesota at Minneapolis after a 2 foot snow storm with a 37 yard TD Pass From Randy Wright to Thad McFadden in the last minute to put us in the 1st Bowl Game since the 1963 Rose Bowl- The Ever Famous "Garden State Bowl" Wisconsin lost to Tennessee 21-14.)

    The Starks fumble recovery TD against Purdue is my personal favorite. I used to gamble back then and without that I don't hit my 5 team parlay for 10 grand. That money helped get me out of gambling weirdly.

    I would not have included that Russell Wilson TD run against UNLV. Great run and all, but very unimportant compared to some other TDs. Like Dayne's TD against Purdue that just about clinched the 1999 Big Ten title. Phillip Fuller gave some more great examples.

    • @tfmac2011
      @tfmac2011 2 года назад +1

      Yes, you are exactly right! The play that can be simply known as the "Bounce Pass" without having to identify the players. The beauty of that play was that much of the Defence thought for a moment the play was dead when the ball hit the ground.

    Gregg Bollig to Jeff Mack vs Nebraska, 1974!!!! "Bounce Pass" from Randy Wright to Al Toon to Jeff Nault vs Illinois, 1983 Touch Down Pass from Ron Vander Killen to Pat Ricker vs Minnesota to Put Wisconsin in the 1962 Rose Bowl!!!!!

    • @jmweed1861
      @jmweed1861 6 лет назад

      Yes, Billy Merek was the "tailback: in this game against Nebraska. He scored the 1st Wisconsin touchdown. Though hurt (with a back injury) most of the season this is the year he also finished with 236 yards and 3 TD against Iowa (at Iowa) 265 yards and 3 TD agaist Northwestern at Evanston and finished with the 304 yards and 5 TD against Minnesota at Camp Randall. (I was at all 3 of these games and the Nebraska game) In fact, I started going "Regually" in Jr High in 1965 (my dad took me to the 1962 game with Ricker and VanderKellen) and out side my time in the army 1970-71, have NOT missed a Wisconsin home game. since. The Badgers had a blocked punt late in the game that beat Purdue in 1982 that has to be up there.

    • @jmweed1861
      @jmweed1861 3 года назад

      That was done by linebaker Jim Melka. It would be alsost the same thing 30 years later when the Badgers blocked aput to beat the Gophers again

    • @ryanstrnad1852
      @ryanstrnad1852 3 года назад

      @@jmweed1861 yea, Melka's a West Allis Hale product, I actually attended one of his games there, but really didnt realize what was going on as I was about 7 years old at the time. Heck, Nebraska mayve been looking at Melka as well. That's what my Dad would normally do during high school playoff time. That is, go and watch star players then write to Nebraska (his native land) to let them know. BTW, Matt Lepay's call on that Minnesota game winning block was his best football call IMO. Had several memorable basketball ones too.

    • @bemore1134

      @@bemore1134 that's right, he did go to Central. I got confused because I saw him at West Allis Hale's home field where Central would also play their home games at. Central had another big guy* (IDK if he played football) who would wrestle, his name was Brian Mcclure (either class of '89 or '90) he would work with me at the old stadium. I found out he died of cancer some 5-7 years ago. *In fact, Central had many big guys.
