- Amazed No one has been hear to make a vlog, This Underscored town right on the border of Burma Miramar was a fantastic find, Its also a dangerous place to visit as the village Karon people are still at War with The Burmese across the river. I found the village very friendly, Mae Sam Laep, Mae Sariang Hong Son Loop Northern Thailand
Ken Abroad allready did a vlog on that place about a year ago.
yes, and just like Sean, he did not find the best place in this village unfortunately. A high up viewpoint, with a golden chedi, looking down on the village with a panoramic view of the river and valleys. Maybe Sean captured it with his drone. Can you only see his drone footage elsewhere? cos he rarely puts any on the free channel
@@petercross6960 i dont know, but sometimes he may do an entire vlog of drone footage.
No he did not, he went to a shit paddy field
Great vlog of a very interesting place, Sean. Well done for getting there. Originally you had to ride along the stream bed for the last bit to arrive at the village! The road was only finally completed 5 years ago. The mighty Salween River (the 2nd biggest river in Burma) has always been the natural border with Burma. There was heavy fighting between the British and Japanese armies to cross it in WWII. Mae Sam Laep used to be a dodgy smuggling port, then it became an important crossing point for Karen refugees fleeing the ruthless Burmese Army, which it still is.
Cheers buddy, I will be going back to this place for a stay over
Julien seems a nice guy but light on his feet, lucky you swerved his offer of a bed😮 you’d be standing on the horse home
“Here” not “Hear”
Love the vids M8!
😎
So sorry, but I laughed when you got caught in the rain. Just hearing your cursing so funny. Loved watching your video mate. Subscribed 🤛

Lol, Cheers buddy
Something totally different from the normal again Sean ,the small villages in this part of Thailand 🇹🇭 are really great to see and the views overlooking the river are spectacular ⛰👍and the river boarder with 🇲🇲 Myanmar 🇲🇲 had some interesting scenery, bet that was a bit of bummer getting caught in that rain downpour and it did come down lol 😂,glad you got back before the next one and got a LEO buddy . Take care stay safe 😎👍🙏🪖🏍
That rain got me buddy, I was so cold and right at the top of the mountain, I got soaked through, but was dry when I got back, Cheers buddy
Really good vlog Sean…loving the places you find in the real rural Thailand …but maaate…ditch the flipfops. Called “thongs” in Oz…they are dangerous, slippery when your feet sweat too….I recommend decent leather sandals, especially in the places you are trotting 👍
That village was incredible!
Another great off the grid blog Sean keep them coming there the highlight of my chill time as unlike I'd say 85% of the other bloggers just copy each others shit and claim it as there idea but there only interest is how many likes and views they get if I'm honest some of them really twist my mellow 😂 anyway keep your style of work as it's not predictable you don't know where the F😂😂k your going to find you 👍👍
Cheers buddy
Authentic Thailand at its finest.Lovely hillside traditional Thai houses and simple Thai people.Congratulations on this find Sean & great vlog..Thank you.
Cheers buddy
Loved the vlog Sean. I love when you explore not knowing what your going to find and when you wonder into people's houses for that shot. The view at the end was so good. Also mate, the beard you going to let it grow? I think a beard would suit you sir, all the dirty birds love a man with a beard haha take care man
Ha ha, the beard has gone buddy, It started to itch, All the best buddy
Hey mate you are the best

Good click bait, but it has been videoed before by vloggers, many times actually. All one has to do is a YT search.
It's still good to see another vid of anywhere in SEA though,it catches views another didn't.
yep I did see one other after posting, But it was crap, might as well not have bothered, Cheers buddy, I will be using a lot more click bait though, It seems to help,
@@thedeadhorse I guess it does...I've had enough of it through.

Excellent video, Free Beer Tomorrow, keep up the good work. You definitely take us where no RUclipsr has gone before. 👍
Interesting vlog mate , when you started northern Thailand it didn’t look for me , but you’ve found some great spots 🫡, I like that your thinking outside the box and bringing content we wouldn’t of seen elsewhere 👍🏻 nearly 12k subs buddy congrats 🙏🏻🍻
Cheers buddy, Northern Thailand wasn't really for me, But I have loved my time around this village and Mae Sariang, I will return buddy, Cheers
You are doing fantastic work Sean well done and stay safe🙏🏻👍
Cheers buddy
Can you get into Myanmar, obviously it’s a tricky country to be in. I think you can only fly into Yangon. I was there about 5 years ago. It’s a truly fascinating country, that’s been stuck in a time warp since 1948, similar to Cuba since 1959 which I’ve also been to and is an equally unique country! Ben Fogle is only on Channel 5 his show is called New Lives in the Wild or his newer show Lost Worlds!
Cheers buddy
Awesome place. I think what you were chewing that turned red in your mouth may have been beetle nuts. I wonder if the houses on the river have running water.
Lol, yes buddy, beetle nuts they where, Cheers buddy
Here not hear!😂😂😂
Angle grinder 555555🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👊👊👊👊
I think you found your niche exploring these out of the way places in your inimitable style. Keep em coming Sean , this vlogs a bewdy 👍
Cheers buddy
People are called Karen and the sign on the old Tatmadaw base reads Kawthoolei.
On the way to Mae Song you will pass one of the KNDO HQ's which some of the soldiers along with KNLA Brigade 5 razed Kyauk Nyat military outpost in April 2021.
Colonel Saw Htoo Ka Shaw was killed in this operation.
You will also pass Mae La refugee camp on the way to Mae Sot.
KNDO HQ 17°30'48.3"N 97°58'01.8"E.. If you go take some food for the two Bears and ask for the Doctor Sabine..Mu Aye Pu Village..
People speak Karen not Thai....Thank you very much. ...ta blu dòh mä
Thanks for that buddy, Cheers
another Exellent vlog sean 🤗
AND UNTIL NEXT TIME............... I'll finish it off for you buddy AUVOIR!! Man that took me back to my time at the family farm and surrounding parts of the village in Lukkae not far from Kanchanaburi. I roughed it big time for a month. What a great experience it was. Brilliant video buddy. Thanks for going there and sharing it with us 🤩
Cheers buddy
We call them thongs in Australia 😂
Why do you keep saying “krap pom” it doesn’t make sense? It sort of means “Yes” or “Yes sir” (agreeing with someone in an ultra polite way) eg You can use it if say a waitress reads back your order to confirm it was correct - but “kap” is more than enough. Anyway, quite enjoyed this one. I went up to Fang 20 years ago and it was freezing 🥶 😂
John Rambo been there before.
that guy is a monk
Quality of your vlogs are amazing, what camera and editing software do you use?
For a new pair of flip flops mate 😂
Lol
Think your mistaking Ben fogle for Steve Backshall mate. U mentioned he was muscly, deffo not fogle lol hope your good Sean. Always in good spirits 👍
Thanks
Cheers buddy, Big Thanks
Thai people of Karen descent who had escaped the war for a long time. People who live along the Thai border
That was a wicked vlogg mate 👍
Cheers buddy
Excellent video.
Cheer's Sean
Hey mate . Great vlog
Did he not offer the 'Military Camp' where you can cross the Moei river to where you can go online gaming? There's a two story building with 'internet' that puts you 'in touch' with many 'opportunities' to make some and lose some! Vey popular with Bangkokians! Good vlog Sean!
Cheers Seni, I will be back hear at some point, loved it hear
Loved it .Thanks for sharing.
And angle grinder man getting louder lol
Sure was gum leaves lol ? Numb* lol
Lovely place that mate

Go day Buddy
Hey Sean we’d like to see you cover Bali and other adjacent islands soon please.
Gr8 vlog buddz, enjoyed it heaps. Cheers
Cheers buddy
Visit Tak then Mae Sot onto Mae Ramat ending in Mae La all along the Burma border view the refugee campsalong the road side well worth a visit to their banana leaf homes Most wonderful of welcomes. \take your time thro the check points along the way HAPPY VLOGGING
👍😄👌
I did that and I felt embarrassed at the poverty stricken poor Burmese people. As I passed I put my camera down as I just felt so priviliged and --humbled! Lovely people but given the 'short straw' in life! Well worth the reality trip!
Definitely will bring double plugger thongs from G'day Ozzie next year just for u? If you're still travelling those parts, still enjoying your content so keep it coming.
Cheers buddy
